Glimpses of SMS CUSAT

The course is approved by AICTE and its curriculum is designed in that way. It's more of a bookish learning and has 4 semesters with one internship and one project. The exposure to external training programs is high. Application-level studies are also designed with the curriculum and exams are conducted in an application-level approach

Internship are gained through campus placement and i got into VKC at Calicut. The major internship recruiters are Federal Bank, ICICI Bank, kochi metro, vkc. The federal bank even provided a 25k stipend. Some companies even offer ppo. After internship, a project needs to be submitted based on that specific industry.

Campus placement is really good . We have 95% placements and the return on investment is high in comparison with the fees paid. The average package is 8lpa and highest package is 22lpa. The major recruiters are federal bank, icici bank, max, tcs, dhl,deloitte, walkrao

The semester fee is 37k and need to be paid in each semester beginning. Different scholarships can be availed by students according to their eligibility. SC/ST students have E grantz and they only need to pay ?300. The different scholarships applicable for MbA students are: Federal bank scholarship, Post graduate scholarhsip hy NSP and Ch mohammed koya scholarships for minorities

The college has many clubs. One of the major club is speak out club and I'm the event head of the club. The other clubs include marketing forum, HR club, green cell etc. NSS is also very active club. Im the founder of case study club. Sports and arts are very active as its a university campus. Sargamis one of the major 4 days long fest in the university. Talent time is the management fest hosted by MbA department and is one of the largest management fest in south india

The hostel rent is ?320 and mess fee is based on the food that we eat or use the mess. Hostel room is either 3 or 4 sharing. The hostel is alloted based on allotment porcess and thats based on distance of students from the college to room. The hostel is completely run by students and is menu prepared by students in each month. Hostel is very cheap and has enough infrastructure with free wifi

CMAT/kmat/CAT score is necessary and there is no specific cut-off. After normalizing the score, the shortlisting process will be done. Around 700 students get the short list and after that, GD and PI will be conducted. 70% weightage is for normalized score and 30% weightage is for GD and PI. Then the finalized rank list will be published Around 140 seats are available for the full-time MBA program.

The faculty members are highly qualified. Only for MBA department, the institution has 22 faculties and out of which many faculties are graduates from IIM''s and NIT's. Faculties are all PHD holders and they are easy approachable and accessible.

The GD is of 20 min and consist of 10 students and has 15% weightage. The topics are either general or management related. My topic was E commerce platform for traditional sellers. The PI is an unstructured one and different panels will be there. It's purely a general interview of 15min
