Basic information about B.sc.

Bsc. Microbiology is really a very interesting field where we explore a world of microbes. And they are everywhere affecting everything so this makes it a vast subject. Every semester we have at least one new core subject which teaches the effect of microbes in real world. Practical syllabus is also very interesting and we perform every single practical and reports result to teachers. The exams are conducted twice in a year and the difficulty level is moderate.

There is summer internship program going on which is funded by ICMR and other research institutes. College don't provide stipended intersection but there are many certificate courses which college provides for CV enhancement.

Placement levels are not that high for the course. Hardly 2-3 companies visits yearly. But for other courses in my college the Placement level are good. The college provides 4 year degree option and supports research opportunities as well. After completing 4 year degree you are eligible for pursuing phd directly without masters.

The overall fee is 20000 per year and there is no extreme fee hike policy. There are several scholarships every year department wise, streamwise. There are several societies which conducts several competitions and the college approves cash prizes. There is not as such campus employment.

There are over 25 societies like debating, eco club, art , dance , singing etc. The sports facilities are also very nice we usually plays table tennis , chess, volleyball cricket football etc. Almost all the classes are well equipped with smart boards. The college annually conducts interdepartmental sport competitions , also the annual cultural fest Splendour in February mostly, which is at least of two days and students from other colleges participates in various events.

The admission to Delhi university are from CUET-UG and the cutoffs were high for B.sc.(H) microbiology. Exams are conducted twice a year and difficulty levels are moderate. The admission process was completely online and it was easy, although their helpline numbers are of no use.

The faculty to student ratio is 1:4 and it really affects our learning experience in positive way. Faculties are always supportive in academics and they very warmly motivates to share personal problems too but my personal experience is never to do this. We have smartboard installed in our class. Ma'am hardly shares ppt with us encouraging to make our own notes.
