Course Curriculum Overview

4

Sem-1 exams were conducted before Diwali vacation and Sem-2 exams were conducted in April. We have 50 marks for internals and 50 marks for external writhing exams. The difficulty level of the exams were considerable in both the semesters.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Yes, there is a scholarship policy in this college and it's forms are to be open in July - August month of the academic year. We need full the form and submit it with all the required documents in the office. I'm in Second year now and we are haven't been provided with any internship facilities. Fees if the course is nearly 70k per annum.

Campus Life

4

There's a lot of fests conducted in the college from September till January. Library is always full of books.. Nagindas Khandwala college's library is of the best college libraries to mention. There are books of almost all genres and subjects also with a fiction book corner. Campus of the college is just considerable, not too big. We have various social groups and clubs such as Rotaract club, literature club, Marathi club, gujrat club, green club, gym khana, psychology club, geography club, B-section club of commerce students, etc.

Admission

I'm persuing BSC Psychology (in sy now) [there need to be a correction as above there was no option to select BSc and so I've chosen BA.] We had an interview before our admission in this course with the HOD of the psychology department. She's kind in nature. Also it was easy to crack the interview and i got the admission on the merit basis. Cutoff was not very high since there were only 20 seats so they took the admissions accordingly (20 seats because it was their first year for starting this Bsc Psychology degree) Faculties are very friendly and understanding.

Faculties are very friendly and understanding. I choose this course because I wanted to pursue psychology from a science background as it's BSC. Qualifications of the faculty is also good as well as their teaching methods are understanding for us students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college curriculum is great it is set well but not that great. It gives the basic knowledge of everything related to the subject and that helps me in further studies and my job in the future. But it needs of improvement cause it's not really set perfectly cause the 4th sem syllabus is needed in the 3rd sem cause it is based on each other. The exam timing is worst in our college it comes like a surprise without anyone's expectations. The syllabus is not even complete half the exam cones.

Doing B.A. is always a good choice, I choose this course because it was also available in an away study method. Ycmou have study centers. So, we have recorded lectures of a really good faculty and students no. Changes in each study center. All faculty teaches online only with presentations and book reading methods. There are yearly exams only containing theory and practical exams. They are very easy to pass.

I choosen this Idol University because I have to prepare for upsc and I wanted a hassle free college life so I can focus on my upsc syllabus and surely it worked.
