Course Curriculum Overview
I opted economics hons because i wanted to go for research in economics. SO in that way it really helped because in hons course you study only one subject for 3 years and other subjects also which is used in economics like maths. So, in 3 years you learned almost entire subject deeply which really helped in future for research. According to me there should be more numericals than theory. So in that some improvement can be done. Frequency of exams was semester based. 2 times in 1 year and which is good
Internships Opportunities
For economics hons. The companies mainly come in the search of economics analyst and market analyst. There were companies like boston consulting companies like zomato etc . This college is not that good for placements. To be honest there was not as such projects on which we have worked.
Placement Experience
From last semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is below average placement in this college. Students almost opt for higher studies. But still there are many companies which visits but they offered on an average 3 lakh per annum package. Only 20% students got placement and rest of them opted for higher studies. My plan was clear at that time to go for research in economics
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee was very affordable. It was less than 12 thousands per year. If we compare with other colleges it is too less. Complete cost was approx 38 thousands in 3 years which included exam fee and everything. There was scholarship for financially weak students and many of them got that scholarship.
Campus Life
Fest held every year. And there was always a famous celebrity visited each year like neha kakkar, darshan rawal etc. We got fresher party also. Fest mainly held in the month of march and if i talk about library then there was plenty of books available in the library. And environment was also very peaceful. Our classes held in old building. So, facilities was not that good. For sports there was no proper ground for cricket and football and there were many clubs and you can take part in NCC which will definitely help you in future to spent a disciplined life
Admission
To take admission in B.A(H) economics in DU. First you have to apply online from DU site where you have to mention the courses and 12th percentage and many other details. First mathematics is compulsory in 12th standard. And i got admission through cut-off. They counted my from my best of four subjects which included maths physics chemistry and english. Because i changed the stream So 2.5% extra deducted from my best of 4 percentage to match the cut-off. I got admission through obc reservation. The time duration for exam was 3 hours and exams held 2 times per year. It was semester based. The improvement i want in admission process is that it was really too hectic. It should be easy
Faculty
There was 50 students in my batch. So, the numbers are not that big. We can easily interect with faculties. They are well educated and all were professor. Many of them were phd scholar. If i faced any problem in any topic then faculties always helped and supported and it was very easy to interect with them
