Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum at BITS is up to date and ensures students are job-ready. In electronics and electrical engineering, a lot of emphasis is given on actually working on things that we learn in lectures in labs . Providing us with both theoretical and practical knowledge of the course. The workload is a bit more in electrical engineering compared to other courses. We have tutorial tests almost every day but that also helps us in keeping touch with the ongoing syllabus so that we don't have to cover everything one night before exams. We have tutorial tests almost every day and other than that midsems and endsems once in a semester. The exam might seem tough to people who just studied a few days before the exam but for someone who was consistent throughout they are manageable.

Internships Opportunities

5

Google Microsoft adobe Netflix apple meta atlassian Sprinkler hired for SDE roles A few HFTs and hedge funds also visited for quant roles like millennium tower research capital trexquant for consulting BCG McKinsey Bain visits for analyst roles JP morgan Goldman Sachs visit. Leading companies of all sectors visit the campus.

Placement Experience

5

There are mainly three ways of getting placed in BITS .. first is through getting a summer internship and then converting it into a PPO ... second is sitting for placements and bagging a placement in a company... other than these two boys has a special practice school program in which big companies like google microsoft hire interns from our colleges for 1 semester and gives them a handsome stipend for that period as well .. this internship also can turn into a full time offer ... these are the 3 main ways to get placed . All the major companies of every sector visits the campus . Average package offered is 23-24 lakhs and highest domestic package is generally 75-80 lakhs ...almost all the students who wish to get a job get a job . My plan after graduation is to pursue MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees on average increase by 5-15 percent every year. Overall fees is really high but there are a lot of scholarships to help people and make it manageable. Top 1 per cent of people according to CGPA are given 100 percent scholarships on tuition fees and other than merit scholarships we have merit cum means scholarships for people with weak financial backgrounds. Scholarship for MCN students is given on the basis of their CGPA and ranges between 100 to 20 percent. Total expense for one year roughly comes around to be 7 lakhs. For extra income, one can take responsibility as a TA or teaching assistant. a TA of a course is given 5000 per month as a stipend.

Campus Life

5

BITS has three major fests .. Oasis is the cultural fest and is well known around India. apogee is the technical fest ... BOSM is the sports fest ... all the fests take place at a grand scale and a lot of celebrities and famous personalities come during fests. The library at BITS is huge and has every book one can think of ... I personally haven't come across a book on the internet that wasn't in the library. All the fests are conducted by students and clubs and departments on campus. Students develop good leadership and street skills by involving in these clubs and departments.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

2 occupancy room is given to 1,2 year students and 3,4 year students are given single rooms . Hostels at bits have all the facilities one can ask for ... we have common rooms with ac and television.. games like carrom and fuse ball ... meals at bits mess won't dissapoint you .. there's a lot of variety offered in menu during a week ... one negative is that there is scarcity of water in Pilani hence that sometimes becomes a problem .

Admission

To get into BITS one has to have 75 percent in the 12th boards in the science stream along with that one has to get a good score in the BITSAT exam which is conducted by BITS itself for admissions. BITSAT is comparable to JEE mains in terms of difficulty but the selection ratio is less than mains. BITSAT is held in 2 sessions and your best score out of the two is considered for your admission. after giving bitsat one has to sit for counselling of bits which is also conducted by the institute itself. The selection procedure is totally transparent and there is no kind of reservation in bits and no management quota. seats at bits are offered purely on the basis of merit.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average but improving. Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. A few companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture (off-campus support), Capgemini, and some local Jaipur-based IT firms visit the campus. Most offers are for software trainee, support, testing, or analyst roles. The average package is around 3–4 LPA, while the highest package goes up to 8–10 LPA (mostly off-campus or through exceptional performance). Around 60–70% students get placed through campus or combined on/off-campus efforts.

In my college there are very good placement chances if you score good marks and be a good student there and we can get an average package of 4 to 5 lakhs per annum and if we are better than if you are very good student we can also get more than 10 lakhs per annum it all depends on us because we have to study and we have to take out chances but if I don't get any employment from there I will start doing it off campus and will do my own business or something like that but I will definitely try hard to get a placement from this college because it is very good and I want to get I am job from this college to start my life of making money
