Biotechnology Summed up at DY Patil Navi Mumbai.

The course is constantly getting updated. From the year I started, We have learnt alot of new techniques that were recently discovered. The faculties try to involve alot of AI as well. They help us with understanding of AI in our field. The total working days of the college for a semester are 90. During that period 2 internals and 1 end semester exams are conducted. 1-2 assignments or projects are given for each subject too.

The college does provide sources to apply for internships where we have higer possibility than usual to land an internship. Usual targets are food companies and research oriented organzations which take up the major chuck of students.

The tution fees was 2 lakhs per annum. This was back in 2020. Now the structure was changed and the fees is hiked a little. There are alot of other fees as well like exam fees around 2600/- and breakage charges of 500/- each semester. Also if you need any transcripts you will need to pay 3000/- for them. You can do projects and work with faculties to get experience.

The annual sports fest biozest is held usually in February. The cultural and tech fest (species and technozar respectively) have been held usually in march. The library is very accessible just need to make a library card. The sports are available for everyone to play and team for all the major sports are available to participate in. There are alot of clubs for extracurriculars so feel free to participate.

There is no eligibility for the course. You need to pass 12th science. You need to undertake a bridge course if u have dropped maths or biology in your 12th grade. The college exams are moderately difficult can easily pass but to score good you need to study hard.

The faculty are mostly all phd or postdoc. The ratio of students to facult is 1:7 per class. The teaching methods of all the faculties are different and can also be described as unique. But there are always few bad apples which can be the case in all universities. But overall all the facilities are very helpful and won't hesitate to help u when needed.
