What Students Say?

Likes

The teachers are fully dedicated even if it is open only for a day, they teach with full enthusiasm and dedication.
The faculty is good, they provide good colleges as study centres.

Dislikes

The classes should be at least for two days, that makes Saturday and Sunday.
The others subjects though are taught online by them on MS OFFICE but they should also be talked about in class.

Course Curriculum Overview

Personally, English has been my area of interest, i love reading literature like it comes naturally to me mostly, which is why I chose this course. And as we know literature is the mirror of the society so it helps in the real world too. I think we've been learning a little too much about 13-18th century literature and a very short amount of recent literature is included in the course which should be looked upon. The exams are not that difficult ofcourse if you study properly, they are held semester wise, once in dec-jan and the other time in May-june.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 8500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is also not that much, my fee is about 8.5-8.6k per year, and the max it goes is 10k for other courses too. Scholarship i don't think is really required in this but there are certain programs you can look upon.

Campus Life

The campus is good , you make friends, you can attend fests of most colleges because you're a DU student in one way. You can join certain clubs of certain colleges. The infrastructure is good like I said, they provide good colleges as study centres.

Admission

The admission process is quite easy, you just have to register to du sol, fill the required details, wait for the approval, submit the fee, and there's you id. There are reservation benefits ofcourse.

Faculty

There are enough teachers and it's never that a class is cancelled because they're isn't a teacher to teach. The teachers are I think assistant professors and they are qualified and very well in teaching. The teachers can be interacted with during classes and through the groups that are made of the particular classes by the teachers of that course.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts from the fifth semester, that is from the last year of the course. Different companies like Delloite, IBM, etc visits for placement opportunities and as far as I knew, the lowest CTC in the year 2022 was around 6lakhs per annum. I did my post-graduation later on so I never went through the placement process.

Fill the SOLDU form on their website no percentage criteria in SOLDU only 12th pass is enough No exams are done for admission in SOLDU but if you want to enroll in regular college then CUET is best option...Read More
