Admission to MBBS course is done through NEET UG examination. You have to pass physics chemistry and biology in class 12 inorder to be eligible. Keep an eye on the date of NEET UG registration which will be announced like in January. The exam is usually held in the first Sunday of May. Application form, fees and dates will be available on NTA's website. The exam will be held only once in a year. Exam used to be very difficult in the 2010s but eventually now it's confined to NCERT books of class 11 and 12(Physics chemistry and biology). I got mbbs merit seat on the basis of neet entrance exam and my kerala rank was 690 and i got seat in thrissur govt medical college in second allotment. The eligibility of the course is the qualification mark and you can apply for seats via allotment in their neet site. The neet exam is of 3 hours and with dedication and hard work you can easily crack it, saying from my experience.
