3

The curriculum is competency based . NMC is constantly making changes in the curriculum. Competency based curriculum helps to define milestones for each medical graduate. The course need to focus on more clinical side. The first year university exam is most difficult.

Internships Opportunities

4

1 year of internship in the college. We can work in various departments . So we get exposure to all cases and conditions. We also get to work in PHC and CHC under the college. This help us to treat in different levels of health care

Fees and Financial Aid

We will be paying 25000/year . Caution fees was 1500 ,which has to be paid only once. Everyone has to pay except sc,st,OEC. Exam fees has to be paid around 3000. Category wise scholarship has to be availed seperately

Campus Life

4

Amazing campus life. The campus is full of greenery and parks. The college union conducts lots of programs . The programs varies from fine arts , debate competition, dance competition, reels competition, music fest and sports fest

Hostel Facilities

3

Room fees is only 40 rs per month. Free electricity, wifiand water. Maintenance charge of 550 per month should be paid. Menu is really good. Except the lack of cleanliness sometimes. College hostel is really affordable to everyone

Admission

I applied to Calicut medical College, but I couldn't get due to my low rank . This college has best curriculum and enough clinical cases to study. Calicut has more patient load. But academics of Thrissur is far better

Faculty

3

Factual student ratio is really good . Each 10 children have a personal mentor. I can't say names of who is best but all are highly qualified doctors who have won award for best doctor . We have a single university each year and 3 internal and numerous short exams

Night Life

4

Gym is there from morning 6 to night 8 . Library is from 9 am to 9 pm. There is no restricted entry time to hostels for both girls and boys. The cafes , parks , are in and around the campus. It is highly safe for everyone to roam in the night

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.
