Course Curriculum Overview

4

Why MBBS because it has been my dream since of I was kid and I’m glad that I made it this far. Each batch in my college have 250 students and for every 25 students one faculty would be given as mentor, whom we can approach for any of queries. Apart from that practical and clinical postings are really fascinating. We would have year exams as to qualify each year, and a few internal exams every 2-3 months. And these exams I wouldn’t put it too tough that we have to give our 100% of time for only studies but nor too easy. If we put a moderate effort for studies we are soo good to go.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I’m in a government college my whole years fee is only about 25000. I’m not personally availing any scholarships. But there are many students in batch who gets various scholarships. And we get around 27000 as stipend every month when we do the internship

Campus Life

4.5

As for program we have a lots and lots of program in the college every month, so much so that you would get bored of them literally after 1st year itself. This is along with inter and intra college events. And for sports also almost all the major sports events are there in our college along with a proper coaching camps. And various college level competitions are held regularly. Along with this adventure club, movie club, dance club , etc are there which you can join as per your interests

Admission

Eligibility of the course is students who have clear NEET UG exam. The neet exam in my year had around 17lakh students in which around the top 15 thousand students got into government medical colleges for MBBS. If you have cleared NEET UG, medical council of India does the allotment process where you have to give the list of college which you are interested in. If you are eligible with the rank that you achieved then your highest preferred college would be allotted to you. Reservations are available based Like OBC and PWD. If you have any reservations make sure you keep the certificate ready according to the format given by medical council

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are really qualified with the amount of experience that they get from our hospital it is incomparable to that of any other. Most of the faculties are always available to clear our doubts, but since they have a hospital to manage and surgeries to be done it may sometimes be a bit hard to find them. The classes here are mostly lecture class along with small group discussions, case presentations, which are very helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course not due to the curriculum..i qlways dreamed of becoming a good doctor. The level.of satisfaction you get in this profession wont be anywhere else. The modernization of curriculum has stressed on the clinical aspects which i think is the core of medicine. We have been taken to bedside and taught to examine patients diagnose the case and interpret imaging. Also the skill lab clears the obstruction we face in a real life like we are being trained in BLS and ALS. Our junior batches are also taken to trivandrum medical college to see autopsy which in fact is a real opportunity. The course could improve in a way that apart from academics it must give importance to sports arts also which is not promoted in our college. Also revisions classes can be made effects by conducting small test papers chapter wise instead of taking chapters on repetition. Exams are almost done in an effective way. The course is actually very difficult compared to others. So much effort has to be put in from both students and Teacher's side.

The hostel and college infrastructure are a little poor compared to other colleges but it is expected with the minimal fees given. There are a lot of festivals and programs and a healthy political atmosphere. The non violent conflicts between the two opposing parties lead to good development in the college.
