Likes
- The faculty members are nice mostly. They're nice behaviour wise.
- College environment is good. Through out the college life there were no case of ragging. They sign an anti ragging after admission.
Dislikes
- There is no air conditioning in classrooms. Its scorching hot and humid, all you do is sweat all the time.
- Placement cell could have been better only one company (Ernest and Young) came up with a 5+ Lpa offer.
- There were no college fest organised. Only the ones organised were of different colleges under the same Heritage group of institutions.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well as i mentioned all the theory part will somehow help in your basic undersdtanding of the corporate world. But there were limited opportunies for career growth. The course curriculum will get your foundations strong but will not provide a deep understanding. The curriculum was not tough it is easy and one can achieve good marks even if he pays a little attention or studies on the last month left for exams.
Placement Experience
Campus Placements will start once you will reach the final year that is 3rd year 5th sem. The placement cell is not very good in this college. Companies like Amazon, Tcs, Ernest and young, Bjaj, Godrej, Karnataka Bank etc recruited students from BBA department. Other companies also showed interest and had various job roles but mostly for sales role. Tcs was the highest recruiter among all rest others companies only took a few students for their jobs. I'm still looking for jobs after completion of BBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
As per my knowledge they have increased the course fees for every department. The complete cost of BBA degree when i took admission (2021) was around 3.4 Lakhs for total of 3 years including all the other charges like library admission fees security money etc. But now it is hiked up above 5 Lakhs and the BBA degree has also extended to 4 years for completion. There is no scholarship program as per my knowledge. There were very less internship opportunities and the Jobs offered ranged from Rs 2 Lpa to around 5.3 Lpa.Companies like TCS Amazon Ernest and Young Bjaj Financial service Godrej etc came for campus recruitment. Tcs was the largest recruiter among all the companies.
Campus Life
There were no college fest organised. Other colleges of Heritage had fest in which we also joined but speaking of The Heritage Academy there were no such fest. The Library is nice and air conditioned though its not very large but it does the work. There are sufficient computer labs and also we had a few classrooms which had projectors in it. We had few sports competiton organised by the students only which were college level. But you can always take part in inter college as other colleges offered Heritage colleges to join and compete in their fest or competitions.
Admission
The cutoff was i suppose 65% in 12th Boards. You can apply directly on the official website of college then you will have to give a cuet entrance exam of MAKAUT. They will shortlist you also you will have to pass the cuet and then after getting shortlisted college will conduct a Personal Interview. During my time it was lock down due to covid so they conducted online interview. Admission process was not difficult.
Faculty
The faculty members were nice but they only focussed on the academic part i.e. what's mentioned in the syllabus. They did not help in any form for better career developement or better learning for sitting in placements etc. However they are very approachable and you can always connect to any one of the faculty if you wish to. They are nice and will listen to your problem and even pick up calls regarding any issue.
Interview Experience
After getting shortlisted I had a personal interview with a faculty and the Principal. Firstly you have to apply for the course through the official website then you will also have to give a CUET entrance exam conducted by Makaut and after getting shortlisted you will called for interview. Interview was easy they just ask you about yourself and family background also also ask if you can afford studying in the college as the fees are high.
