Nitte

In mechanical knowing the basics is important. So there is a lot to learn . Like thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and stuff. But the importance given to software is lagging Could improve in that area .

I have been doing a internship in Nitte Meenakshi college Bengaluru where we learn catia and ansys . We learnt machine part modelling, surface modelling, Assembly and in ansys we learnt a lot like thermal analysis, modal analysis, cfd etc..

The placements are okayish . But in recent times it had dropped. But this is not unique to nitte and is the same everywhere. The electronics department actually has good placements . Some people sit for placements and some do higher studies .

My fees was 1 lakh and that was after scholarship. You have to write the entrance exam and based on your marks and course choice your fees will be decided. The fees for management and NRI quota is different.

There are many clubs in our college both technical and non technical. And they are actually good . You get to participate in IITs and other big colleges which will give you exposure and a good chance to interact with people there.

The hostels are good . They have many options which also give means a wide range of fees. The food is good . Its affordable and the curfew is around 9 . For those who want pg that is also available around the college area.

We had to write and entrance exam known as nucat. Which is done by Nitte deemed to be university. I don't have much knowledge about reservation but I did not get any . I think it's purely based on marks and ranking

The faculty in our department are good and they will clear all your doubts . They won't proceed until and unless you understand the concept. They also have good connection in the industry which will help in internship and jobs
