Likes

Teachers are very friendly and the infrastructure is very good
There is no ragging in the campus, ragging free campus
Location of the college is very good near main road and railway station is also nearby

Dislikes

As new college some of the construction is also going on.

Course Curriculum Overview

As we all know MBBS is a very well known course for its job security. As doing MBBS you can directly apply for a housestaffship at different hospital you can do RMOship or you can practice your own medicine.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Internships Opportunities

As it is a government medical college you have to do mandatory internship after 4.5 years flod your study for at least 1 year then you will get your MBBS degree. The internship would be in nearby hospitals.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total course fee would be 55 thousand in total 5.5 years of your degree and hostel fee would be 144 rupees per year. You can avail svmcm scholarship if your family income is less than 2.5lakh which offers 60k per year.

Campus Life

You get a hostel with 3 roomates. Hostel infrastructure is pretty good you get water purifier and common toilet in every floor. A balcony is attached in every room. Overall infrastructure is pretty good. Behind the boys hostel there is a big field, you can play sports there. Hostel is very near to academic building and hospital.

Hostel is pretty good it has 9 floor. Every floor has water purifier and common washroom. In one room 3 people stay. There is attached balcony in every room. Lift facility is provided. 4 lifts are there is boys hostel 24/7 functional.

Hostel Fee: INR 144 per year

Admission

The admission process is overall smooth. Cut off for neet may vary from 31000 rank to 34000 rank for general catagory students. Once you get this rank after applying for counseling through wbmcc and after physical verification, you can take admission to college after providing required documents.

Faculty

Faculty of all the department anatomy physiology biochemistry are extremely good. They are very experienced teachers coming from various old medical colleges from Kolkata toom They are always helpful and free to ask any doubts. They make practicals very easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.
