Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is quiet descent. It is relevant and is same as all the other top universities of the country. All subjects and topics and well designed and integrated in course. The teachers are well knowledge about their subjects. The burden is accurate and not less or high.

Internships Opportunities

4

Every department has its own internship cell. The faculty members from there contacts and network help students join internships in there interested fields. Faculties try there best to get students internship opportunities and assure gaining Practical experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is quiet alot. Being a government university the fees should be low but its quiet high. And every semester the fees is increased from 1k-5k per course. The fees should be lesser. Though there are scholarship for thr backward classes and low income students. But for general category students its same and quiet high.

Campus Life

3

The infrastructure needs maintenance and development. Infrastructure of departments is well maintained but the condition of hostels is not goods. Rooms have problem of seepage, water coolers don't work and the time restrictions are too much. Girls are not allowed to leave the hostel premises after 7 pm while boys can walk out even at 3 am in the nights. Discrimination is done between girls and boys. The locals of the area rule the university and no actions are taken against wrongs done by them.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostels are in very bad conditions. Rooms have leakage problems, washrooms are not clean, water coolers don't work. The caretakers are rude and never ready to help and solve problems. Even in emergency thr ambulance takes a good 30 minutes to come in hostels. The food in mess is quiet good though. But the hostels really need renovation.

Admission

The university has its own entrance exam but if seats are left then direct admissions are also given on the basis of 12th percentage. The admission process is simple and verification are done by officials. Counselling is done after the entrance test results are out. Even admissions are given on basis of other entrance exams like cuet, etc.

Faculty

4.5

Mostly all the faculty members are well educated and trained. They have years of experience and are always ready to help the students. From dean to guest faculty everyone does there job quiet well. All the students are able to ask the faculty for help whenever needed.

Other Applied Colleges

Galgotias University - [GU] | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}

The faculty wasn't good and well qualified.

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

Last minute changed the course and decided to not do just BA.

Placement Experience:

Placements for law school are very very low indeed and out of total 180 students not more than 20-30 even get placed. Seminars and top brass are invited to guide students how can they take their career forward but not many direct placements happen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and is divided across 10 semesters so that the students don't get overburdened. The three year llb gets hectic. That's why i chose this course. The curriculum includes moot courts and drafting which is very helpful for further pursuits in law. The mandatory presentation in each semester builds confidence. However, I'd suggest preparing students for moot courts by focussing more on the moot court society will further sharpen the eloquence of the students. The exams are conducted twice in a semester and are moderately difficult.

Not many as placements are less and just a handful like from a batch of 180 in all, 30-40 students are placed from campus. Mostly it's the two tier law firms that comes and offer us quite less as well.

Placements are not many and to be realistic only 25% students or so get jobs from here. It is quite less indeed but that is how it is and some corporate houses who have branding issues are the ones that hire some students from here. Most students try to find joh outside only.

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
