Course Curriculum Overview

5

There are few aspects which i like about my course 1. Firstly i was very keen towards law. When i was in 12th grade I decided to pursue law as a carrier and for that i applied for CLAT but couldn't make it then the best option i had was Symbiosis so I chose. 2. This is a five year bachelor course in which in the first three years of my course I've taught the normal graduation course of BBA which gives me more freedom and options so suppose i didn't want to pursue my career in law then i have other choice i can do MBA or anything else. 3. Nowadays every corporate or firm wants the best of their resources so if i have knowledge of BBA subject there is more likely hood of me getting selected for the job in any corporate firm who deals in the corporate world. These are the most important reasons for me selecting this course.

Internships Opportunities

4

In the first year of the college they ask you for the internship up front in my case we got an email form the placement team in which we have to share our details and then they'll connect us to the Alumni or any firm who has tied up with our college in my case in the first sem i applied for it and they gave me an internship in a Law journal company named "DE JURE NEXUS" in which we published 2 research papers on their website in the first sem we didn't get any complex task we were given some initial insights of law as a profession. After that I did 9 internships which i got on my own by applying and giving interviews for internship.

Placement Experience

4

Yes they do provide campus placement last year only almost 70 students were offered jobs in campus placement. But in our case most of the students have their own plans like the majority of them are generational lawyers so either they'll join their firms or they have very good contacts so they'll get places easily but in my case as a first generation lawyer we do get internship or assessment internship in which we get very good chances to get PPO they we don't have to relay on college for campus placement. In my case if i didn't get campus placement then wherever I've done my internship I'll try to convert my internship into a PPO

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Is the very first year i paid 3 lakhs rupees amd it gets increased by 10% year on year. So for my current semster which is semester 8 i paid 3.65lakha. 2. In my case i paid 10k as a security money then i paid 1lakhs rupees upfront to book my seat which is deducted from my tution fees so im totality i paid 3.10 lakhs rupees apart from that we don't need to pay any fees such as caution fees or lab fees or development fees or etc. 3. Ee don't even need to pay examination fees as well if ee have cleared our tution fees on time and we have cleared all exams then we don't even need to pay for examination fees per se, but for backlog we do need to pay 800 rupees per couse and 800 upfront for backlog charge. So for eg if i get failed in 2 subject then i need to pay 2400 rupees while filling the form. 3. Yes we have a management quota in our college and for those who opt for it has exponentially higher fees then ours, i just know a person who gets admission with me and her fees was approx 5 lakhs per annum. 4. When i took admission till now the fees for my college has been increased significantly. As i checked last year it was somewhere around 4.25 lakhs per annum. 5. Yes my college do give us scholarship to those students who has topped the exam for eg in the batch of 300 students only 3-4 students gets the scholarship every semester. In those 3 or 4 students it would be decided on the basis of their number supposed i was ranked 1 then i don't have to pay any fees for the next semester but i was ranked 3 then based on their calculation i might need to pay 30-40% of the tution fees. 6. We don't have any other categories for fees except the management quota as for that I've already shared the details.

Campus Life

Well for those who just want to come to this college to study then it's a very good place for them. I'm saying this only because this is not a very big college i mean big in terms of size it's just a multistory building in which the ground floor is an administrative floor and the rest of the 3 floors is for class and other things. So if you think that you can hide anywhere in college and bunk the classes regularly then this is not the place for you. Because the director sir is always on rounds to check what the people are doing. Talking about the cultural program there are two flagship cultural programs named "SYMFIESTA" and "APRAJITA" SYMFIESTA is a cultural fest which happens every year on a huge scale. It's a two ot three day test which usually happens in the month of march or April Whereas APRAJITA is a sports fest which is organised by our college which also occurs in the month of March or April. Talking about the technology in the classroom is a smart class where every professor uses to show their PPT on the projector and the entire class is covered with good speakers of BOSE and mikes they have high performance computers on the podium with a very decent internet speed. In my college there is an ample room for those who are into extra curricular we have moot court society in our college, debate society, research society, sports club, dance clubs, musicians, singers, street play group which is very good by the way they have won many compitition in previous few years. Basically symbiosis does encourage extra curricular activities in the college. When it comes to the library i would say it's huge you'll get everything, in fact we have digital library access. We have all the necessary subscriptions which are required for any law student for writing research papers or for any study purpose. In the Library they have very nice and comfortable seats with air conditioners with very high speed internet. They also have fee desktop for those who don't have their

Admission

As i have already mentioned in my previous answers for any aspiring law student NLU is their one stop destination if not that then they have many options which is basically a private university. As i mentioned there are many private universities in which Symbiosis comes in one of the best colleges in fact in few cases it is better then NLUs also, so as I've already told you i didn't clear my CLAT exam so then i had very few options in my budget and Symbiosis was the perfectly fine for me that's why i chose this college. So answering your question what went wrong? CLAT is an all India based test in which almost a lakhs of students applied for it which makes it hard and highly competitive and now i look back then i can clearly say that my preparation was not up to the mark to get NLU so i didn't get it. Talking about the admission process. There is a test named SLAT (SYMBIOSIS LAW ENTRANCE TEST) which is basically an aptitude test like any other test but in SLAT they test your writing abilities as well for which they give us any topic on which we have to write. After clearing the aptitude test they arranged a Personal Interview after clearing both the tests we got into the college.

1. I would not say that I don't like any facility because they all were very kind and helpful to me. Even I've disturb then in late hours and they have replied to me and helped me. 2. As we all know as per the NAAC the course if divided into two modes of exam external and internal for external we have term end paper which use to happen after completing the semester. For internals out college different categories for eg if we have 20 marks of internal then i would be divided into two parts one will be an open book examination and other would be research writing or projects or assignment, it could be anything which management thinks suitable for the course. Also if the internal is of 30 or 40 marks which is usually for 4 credit score course in those we have to make 2 project or assignment or case analysis and other is ee have to write 20 marks open book exams.

Interview Experience

5

Yes we do have to give an aptitude test PI for an admission in the college. First the test was taken and once you get more then cut-off marks then they'll schedule a PI for an individual. After the declaration of test results it usually takes one to two weeks to conduct an interview. For the test there are 60 marks test in which they'll ask you ENGLISH, LEGAL REASONING, LOGICAL REASONING AND GENERAL KNOWLEDGE/CURRENT AFFAIRS. In an interview they'll usually ask questions from your CV they'll completely stick to your CV they'll ask you a question from your CV, it is not a hard and fast rule but usually they ask questions related to your CV and sometimes they'll ask some questions related to current affairs. For preparation I spoke to some seniors and they gave me some insight about how to make a CV for the interview and what to read and what not to.

Night Life

2

Talking about the nightlife inside campus is something that can only be answered by girls because it is only assessable by them. So basically after 8 one is allowed to be in the college one those can stay who are in the hostel. And the hostels are only for the girls no boys hostel and for girls it's only available for initial two years of the college once you enter the 3rd year you are not allowed for hostels so you have to choose something else. But within walking distance there is a woman's hostel which is almost 1000 beds. There is not any infamous hangout place inside the campus Yes it does have a cafeteria but it's just one kiosk of Nescafe. But they do have a mess in which they have a very wide range of food items including veg nonveg bakery every. You name it they have it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and is divided across 10 semesters so that the students don't get overburdened. The three year llb gets hectic. That's why i chose this course. The curriculum includes moot courts and drafting which is very helpful for further pursuits in law. The mandatory presentation in each semester builds confidence. However, I'd suggest preparing students for moot courts by focussing more on the moot court society will further sharpen the eloquence of the students. The exams are conducted twice in a semester and are moderately difficult.

Not many as placements are less and just a handful like from a batch of 180 in all, 30-40 students are placed from campus. Mostly it's the two tier law firms that comes and offer us quite less as well.

Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
