About My College

This course is a professional course this fact attracted me to this course. The lab classes makes me feel like I am a professional but not too much. The education system must be more practical than theories. In KTU the examination time was actually on the sixth month of the semester but now it is conducted on the third month of the semester so it is so hard for teachers to complete their topics and so hard to study all topics within such a short period of time.

Students who are in the eighth semester get an opportunity to enter for placement interviews. But students in the branch didn't get that opportunity because it will be started from this year only. Companies lije TCS, Nippon Toyota, visen, bajaj etc are came for placement process and appointed many of our students. There is no companies who hadn't selected any students. 67% students get placements. • I have to become a software engineer after completing my degree.

Tuition fee is decided by the KTU and that is 35,000. There is no hikes. Some of students are able to get scholarship so they dont have to pay the whole amount only 17,000. But actual expense is for printouts and photostats. All modules of each subjects has copies to take printout so we loss so much of money in this way. There is no job roles other than placement stipends are allotted for special category students.

There is arts fest which is conducted on march it is actually very good and sports event which is on february. These both are excellent and we can enjoy alot but within a limit. There is sufficient textbooks and reference books available in the college library but the fine is too much. They actually follow lectures than ppt classes. They conduct sports and arts events but with certain rules like for arts boys and girls shouldn't performe together. Here is NSS but active only certain occasions than social activities.

There is an entrance test for Engineering in Kerala. But those who didn't qualify for that exam can also get admission to this college. Reservation is for special category students and they get it. I didn't get any. Students can directly go to the office with the help of HODs we can apply for admission and we can earn admission. In my opinion they should conduct a simple entrance test for their admission process

Some teachers keep a friendly relationship with students but not everyone. Some teachers are the graduated students of this college so sometimes their teaching isn't good and we aren't able to cope up with that. They can explain the topic if the students don't get what they are taught.
