I liked that the college has some rules and they make all to follow those rules
I like the environment because our college is surrounded by trees

Dislikes

I didn't like the dress rules.they are very strict about that
And teachers are less friendly they just do their work

Course Curriculum Overview

There are many options available in the case of courses. I have opted information Science and engineering course but there are plenty of courses in our college and I came to know that aeronautical engineering is a better course in our college.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 96547 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fee structure is different for kcet students, management students, and students from other categories. I joined the college through kcet and my fee is around 97k as a government fee, some students came through management for them the fee structure is different. We should pay exam fees every semester

Campus Life

It has been almost one year since I joined this college, I met new people and I made new friends and overall my college life is going well. Our college has many clubs related to dance, song, art, literature, sports, etc. and they give us a chance to join the club through some auditions.

Admission

I came to this college through kcet examination. My ranking was 23k and I got a seat in the Information Science and Engineering course. The cut-off is different for different courses and there is a procedure to get placed in this college for management students and I hardly know about it.

Our college support the students to learn so they only focus on what can make the students learn better and how students can learn more things. The way the lecturers do their job really great and they less focus on fest

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

The college placements are pretty good and provide an average of 6lpa for the students. There are lot of IT companies visit to oyr college but there are no opportunities for the courses other than IT related branches. Students become eligible after their 6th semester in the academics.
