- As only brilliant minds all over Maharashtra come here we get a great crowd
- As college is quite strict about attendance and internal exams, students get trained in a better way for the university exams and practicals
- There's a food street just outside of PICT, so students have lots of food options
Dislikes
- College campus is very small, college ground is also so tiny.
- Entire atmosphere of college is too strict, though it doesn't bother me much but many extroverts coming here get bothered
- Clubs in PICT are not suitable for the 1st year students, so it's quite disappointing
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is awesome. The college is strict about attendance and preliminary exams. As attendance is compulsory students attend the college regularly which helps them a lot in their practicals. And as preliminary exams are compulsory students get trained before attempting the university exams.
Internships Opportunities
College provides awesome internship opportunities with a variety of roles. Few of the companies visiting PICT for offering internship are Honeywel, Barclays, Siemens and UBS. The basic requirement for getting an internship as a Computer Engineering student is having adequate knowledge of a programming language, DSA, Operating system, Networking and etc.
Placement Experience
At the beginning of 5th semester students become eligible for on-campus internship opportunities. And at the beginning of 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visiting PICT are Adobe, PhonePay, Barclays, MasterCard and many more. Highest package until now of a PICT student is 44L and average is 12L. Nearly 95% students get placed in PICT.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fee for general category is nearly 93,000/-. College does provide fee concession for the reserved category students (MAHA DBT is the scholarship provided by government for the students). PICT is known for its placements. College does provide internship opportunities and many more.
Campus Life
Addiction is the annual function in PICT which is of three days which is so wholesome. InC is the main technical event occurring in PICT , students all over India appear for this event. PICT has a huge library with a wide range and accessibility of books and journals available.
Hostel Facilities
Girls hostel is awesome. We get all the facilities like hot water, wifi, house keeping and great security. Hostel fees is 1,25,000/- (mess included) and in the 1st year student needs to pay additional 15,000/- as deposit.
Admission
Students apply for PICT through MHT-CET cap rounds. To get admission in PICT one should take either MHT-CET exam or JEE Mains exam. Students do get reservation benefits as availed by Maharashtra government.
Faculty
Faculty members are average, I would like to add few are really awesome and have a great knowledge of their subjects and know how to teach students in interesting ways, while few do have adequate knowledge of their subjects but don't know how to deliver it to the students.
