Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course provides 3 major subjects it's a triple main course. So there are more choices and preferences in it. Also, there are various events like the media fest, conducted by my department ( department of journalism). At the end of the semester, there is an internship for the students which provides new experiences and opportunities. One of the main advantages of this campus is its teachers, many of them have progressive thoughts and most of our teachers are young, so they understand us in a better way. We get supporting materials like PDFs, and notes for our studies which makes it easy to prepare. Exams are conducted regularly without any delay.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

During the sixth semester, there is an internship for students, which is only for 2 weeks. The internship for students depends on their courses. For some courses, they didn't have internships but most courses have internships. Especially bvoc courses which have internships every semester. The internships are not paid it's only for the experience.

Placement Experience

3

The course provides an internship at the end of the course. It provides new opportunities and experiences for the students. After the internship, there are chances to get placed. Campus placement depends on the course. It's different for each course and the salary package can vary. The percentage of students getting placed is not really high. It depends upon the performance and grades of the students

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of each course is different. There are aided and self-financing courses in our college. Aided students have to pay less fees compared to self-financing students. The fees are affordable. Most colleges in this city ask for donations at the time of admissions, but this college doesn't ask for donations from students. There are many scholarships for students provided by government as well as non-governmental organisations.

Campus Life

4

The campus is best for it's academic excellence. The cultural activities are very less comparatively. There are other events like media fest, talks , discussion and speech programs but the cultural programs are not that really interesting. On every friend there is cultural programs for an hour but that gets boring after some time. The campus library is just like a normal library, there are many books and journals. The campus atmosphere is good it's sometimes pleasant and calm. The classrooms are developed and there are fans and smart boards in each classes. The campus has NSS and NCC which explores many activities and new opportunities for students to socialize and be active.

Admission

There are no specific exams to get into this college. The student should have decent marks in their plus two exams. It should be above 60 or 65 percent. The admissions will be announced on its official website and every details will be provided on the website so that can be helpful for new candidates. The application form will be seen on the website, the students can fill it out easily and the other details will be provided on the website.

Faculty

4

The faculty in our college is very helpful and supportive. They help us really well in our studies as well as for our projects. Provide study materials and notes which makes it easy for us to learn. There are smart boards in our classes . They give us small breaks after a sessions.

Exams are held each semester and are moderately difficult beacuse of this, so practical training and teaching methods need improvement.

Majority of the teachers who are posted there are those who have qualified with NET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST). The current HOD is one of the retired Assistant Professor from one of the renowned college around Kozhikode town. Internal exam were timely, but coming to University exams it was so restless. But as if now, it is getting into the track again by conducting exams on time.
