Likes

Our library..may be because I'm a bookworm and i spent my free hours there
Cafeteria..our university has the best and cheap food stalls inside the campus.
The garden..its breathtaking to watch the nature

Dislikes

Washroom because in sikkim water scarcity is one the major problem
Heatwaves despite being in hilly area the heat is unbearable
Seminar hall this is terrible it has no proper equipment

Course Curriculum Overview

In our university we have per semester 3 exams For eg. In 1 semester which means in 6 months we have 3 exams . Term 1 contains of 25 marks which will be written , term 2 contains 25 marks which can be written or your HOD might ask for assignments and the last paper is 50 . The passing criteria is 33

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 2550 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Our university has the fix rates 2550 for non local students ( out side of sikkim or people living in sikkim but has no identification paper which they call COI ) . AND if you have the COI then just 30 rupess and if you are foreigner then you need to pay 3700 .

Campus Life

Yes the college sessions are hectic but the month of june will give you freshes because its a fest month ..here you'll get to participate in whchever activities you like too . Lots of other events also takes place apart from fest . We have our theater club many members loves to be part of ths and we also have NSS and NCC camps as well ....each department has smart tv in each class and teaching as well as learning becomes very easy .

Admission

Seeking admission in sikkim University and colleges under this will take you months of waiting because the first preference the government gives to sikkimese students who have COI ( certificate of identification ) first merit has only coi students and 2nd merit has 2% of outsiders and in rest counciling sessions.

Our psychology professors are really cool they are actually one of the youngest teachers . Their teaching methods are genz ..its super easy and they even provide hand written notes. But do not underestimate their cool nature if your attendance is low and no leave is provided then you are in danger they will not listen to your excuses and making fool out of them would be scary

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is pretty outdated, they need to update it. The professors try to accomodate and teach stuff out of the syllabi as per the emerging trends. The difficulty level is average and the exams are easy to score on.

As per the course i had no idea which one was good for me. Nor did i have a seniour who could guide us. We should have atleast a month in collage to decide our course. If it is possible we should be given a month at the start of collage to discuss with the faculty based on our strength to choose the course we want.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always enjoyed English as an subject and later I decided to choose this course . The curriculum I don't know but the teachers are really hardworking and good with lessons making it easy to understand ,there was a teacher she was teaching a very difficult lesson I still remember she made a ppt filled with memes so that we could understand it better , I found that really kind and an opt dedication towards her job . The sessionals are held for 1 hour and the end term for 2 , talking about the difficulty level it depend on the way that u have prepared it .

I chose this college because it was feasible and close to my state (Assam). It was the only central university close to my state which provided psychology honors. Honest my review

I had applied at jnu but did not got selected and few others but this university was closer to my home and Sikkim is a great place to study because of the people very good. I feel safe and secure had lots of fun. Ya I got rejected from jnu, maybe I was less prepared that is only reason afterall it is one of the best university Process was simple when I applied there I had to give entrance exam.
