The campus is really vast and beautiful.
Manipal provides you with a very happening college life.
It provides practical learning for every course you opted

Dislikes

Manipal lacks behind when it comes to provide the child an academic environment.
Drug and alcohol is very easy available to students and its really a big minus here.
They have an unsaid criteria that you have to achieve 7.5 gpa minimum for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer and Communication Engineering. Their syllabus is upto date with respect to the current IT sector . They teach us the new technologies used in the IT industry. They provide us with a good practical experience.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 510000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees of Manipal in 1st year is 325000. Non Tech branches charge 450000 per year and Tech branches charges 510000 per year. There are scholarships for students who are incapable financially but they have to maintain a 8+ gpa every semester . Hostel fees ranges from 1lacs to 2 lacs depending upon the allotted room .

Campus Life

Manipal is a place where college is very chill , happening and interesting. There are various types of clubs for students. Manipal has an amazing infrastructure whether it is academic buildings , hostels , sports grounds , greenery and so on.

Admission

Manipal has its own entrance exam called Manipal Entrance test . The higher you score in the entrance test , the more hyped branch you get . Cut offs are as follows: Tech branches ( upto rank 5700) and Non tech branches ( upto rank 18000) . Computer Science has high cut off , upto rank 900.

Faculty

Faculty is punctual and responsible when it comes to taking regular classes. They are ready to solve all the academic doubts of the students and they are patient enough to explain the doubts repeatedly in order to make the students understand the concept. They are strict when it comes to grading and discipline.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say academic wise. There is nothing much happening right now in first year, but then there are many events like hackathons happening where and we can participate and learn a lot even our first year and we have English film and Japanese film, which is basically a whole language club and there are a lot of activities happening such as debate and all, which is obviously helping us gain a lot of public speaking skills and confidence.

Manipal, Student Life You Do Not Want To Miss

I applied for PES and VIT besides manipal and was able to secure a seat in both of them but chose MIT over these colleges because it is more credible and from research provides better packages, courses and options. I also applied for BITS but was rejected due to my insufficient BITSAT scores. Admission process in MIT is relatively simple and depends on your MET rank.
