Course Curriculum Overview
Life sciences is a multidisciplinary field. You get to study chemistry, botany and zoology as your main subjects. It increases your options in future and that was the driving force for me to choose this course. It gives me greater exposure in future to various msc courses and opportunities. It prepares you good in all practical and technical skills. Most of our classes are practical with few theory classes. Exam takes place only one time, at the end of each semester. Exams are moderate level hard, you can easily prepare from PYQs that are available on online platforms of Delhi University. Well, i think more practical exposure and visits should be added to our curriculum and few projects, internships in labs, etc that would give us exposure, ideas about what we learn in classes should be added as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fess is around 22,000. It decreases with every year. In second year it was 20,000. And you could also sit in interview for scholarship that your college or Delhi University offers. I got the scholarship in my first year and my 100% tuition fess is returned. Education is not that costly, most of my money goes on living as my college doesn’t provide hostels. Living in delhi is costly. There is not much internship opportunities in my field and college provides with summer internship like vice-chancellor summer internship scheme with 10000/month stipend and internship in admissions department with 6000 for the full tenure. The complete cost my education for 3 year bachelor's degree will be around 70,000 without scholarships. With scholarship it is around 20000.
Campus Life
Campus life is very bright, happening and full of extra curriculur activities.
