Course Curriculum Overview

4

Life sciences is a multidisciplinary field. You get to study chemistry, botany and zoology as your main subjects. It increases your options in future and that was the driving force for me to choose this course. It gives me greater exposure in future to various msc courses and opportunities. It prepares you good in all practical and technical skills. Most of our classes are practical with few theory classes. Exam takes place only one time, at the end of each semester. Exams are moderate level hard, you can easily prepare from PYQs that are available on online platforms of Delhi University. Well, i think more practical exposure and visits should be added to our curriculum and few projects, internships in labs, etc that would give us exposure, ideas about what we learn in classes should be added as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fess is around 22,000. It decreases with every year. In second year it was 20,000. And you could also sit in interview for scholarship that your college or Delhi University offers. I got the scholarship in my first year and my 100% tuition fess is returned. Education is not that costly, most of my money goes on living as my college doesn’t provide hostels. Living in delhi is costly. There is not much internship opportunities in my field and college provides with summer internship like vice-chancellor summer internship scheme with 10000/month stipend and internship in admissions department with 6000 for the full tenure. The complete cost my education for 3 year bachelor's degree will be around 70,000 without scholarships. With scholarship it is around 20000.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is very bright, happening and full of extra curriculur activities. There are several societies for dance, singing , drama, debate, literary, and also every department has their own societies. Every department and society have their annual fest every year. Several competitions like poster making , open mike , cultural dance etc take place during these fest. College annual fest happens once a year during jan-feb, it is a 2 day event. Lots of enjoyment, several stalls, big singers, band come. Library are filled with more than 1000 of books, online material is also available. Reading hall is equipped with A.c. classroom are like any general classroom, no ac or qny extra facilities. Sports campus is present with cricket field, basketball court, football ground and badminton court. Sports day also takes place. Cricket, volleyball, basketball teams are there.

Admission

Eligibility of bsc life sciences course is PCB ( physics, chemistry, and biology) in class 12th and CUET. Admission process was easy and quick. Everything is available on online platforms, on Admission site of delhi University. Visit the admission website (https://admission.uod.ac.in) to know the details of applying through CSAS of University of Delhi.  Apply online at https://ugadmission.uod.ac.in . Application fees is 500. Generals get no reservation benefit. Cuet is highly competitive exam based on 11th , 12th syllabus. Cut off is high, to secure a college try to get above 500 marks. It is CBT. Admission process is quite confusing and preferences selection is a mess, you need select your preferences very accurately if you want to get a good college

Faculty

4

Faculty members are highly qualified. Most of them has completed their phd from reputed institutes. There are professors with experience of 10-15 years in their fields and there are teachers who just completed their phd and we were their first batch. So you get exposure to experienced and friendly professors who are willing to help you abd provide you with valuable guidance. Their teaching skills are great as well. Being a science student i have seen my teachers demonstrate practicals with accuracy and brilliance. If you enjoy academics, you'll surely enjoy their teachings.

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
