Course Curriculum Overview
LLB has always been considered as a noble and professional degree and due to that there is a large number of students taking admission in it. The curriculum running in the faculty is much more focused on the judiciary and litigation side and it prepares you very well for the real life scenarios. The improvements that the faculty can make is to also introduce a curriculum which can help in getting opportunities in the corporate sector as well. The exams are conducted twice a year in semester mode and the difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
The Placement assistance council provides numerous Internship opportunities ranging from top tier corporate firms to well established lawyers. The Placement assistance council also helps in getting judicial intership which is a great opportunity to see how the legal system works.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee in Central universities are very low compared to private and state run universities and the faculty of law charges approx Rs 6500 per year and there is also examination fee of Rs 1100 for a semester. The faculty has its own placement assistance council and it provides placement and internship opportunities to students.
Campus Life
Faculty of law is situated in the North campus of Delhi University and it has a very vibrant colour around it. There are many fests that takes place all year around in the Campus and it provides great opportunities for socializing. The faculty have a library of its own with a large number of books, journals, magazines related to the field of law. There are numerous society in the faculty as well from Cultural society to placement assistance council. There's also a legal aid society which trains the future lawyers.
Admission
The Students who have passed there Undergraduate program in any course are eligible for LLB course. The Faculty take admission through CUET exam which is conducted by NTA every year. As Delhi University is a central university it provides reservation to EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST groups. The entrance exam is of moderate level and if a person study for 6 months they can easily pass it.
Faculty
The teaching faculty at the faculty of law is very much helpful. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders and the guest faculty is mostly the LLM holder. The faculty to student ratio is somewhat low and there is a need to better the infrastructure to impart good education and teaching experience. The faculty is always open to any doubts the students have.
