Course Curriculum Overview

According to my jee advanced rank this was best branch and college combination I get. The curriculum is very good with right combination of theoretical and application aspects. After a fixed time of around 1 month exam happened with moderate to hard difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities are very good in our college managed by student placement office and many good companies approach us with their offers. The companies like Microsoft, oracle goldmann sachs,etc. approach us for internship.

Placement Experience

The placements in our campus is very good as best companies came here to hire students. Students are eligible from seventh semester for placements. There are around 300 companies who visit and around 1200 offers are made. The average package of my branch is 1800000 and highest of around 50 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees for around one semester is around 1 lakh. And the overall fees of four years is 12 lakh. There are several scholarship offered every semester and any student can avail it by fulfilling the given criteria.

Campus Life

There are total three fests happened antaragini for cultural activities, udghosh for sports and techkriti for science and technology. There is a Library which have almost every book related to study and anyone can avail it easily. There are many clubs run by students which is very helpful for new students in exploring new things.

Hostel Facilities

The room facilities are descent which includes almirah, table,chair and bed. The mess food is of normal quality and the taste is quite good and the hygiene is also taken care of. The hostel registration is included in the overall registration process.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

For admission in IIT's, we need to qualify jee advanced exam and for this many students studies in coaching institutes for 2 years. This exam occurs every year once and the difficulty of this exam is hard.

Faculty

Faculty to students ratio is very good . All the professors have their PhD from renowned institutes , have years of experience and are very passionate to teaching. Students can talk to them after lectures or in their respective office.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are average and the students get decent packages. Students are eligible for the placements from the very beginning from the 7th semester. The companies visiting hbtu are samsung, exxonMobil, TCS, FMCG, IBM, Hindustan Unilever, Global Logic, Adobe, Paytm, HCL technologies, Nestle, Asian Paints, Britannia and Dabur etc. The highest placement was 32 lpa while the average was 7 lpa last year . Last year almost 75% of the students were placed. My plans are to take a good placement from the college and side by side i'm working on my startup idea as well .

Placement Experience:

Usually after 3rd sem, students star getting internships. And for compaines visiting our college, except amazon (they blacklisted us). Almost every top companies do visit the college. Highest package was 59LPA, and the average for cse is 12-13Lpa. 99% students get placements. Many students goes abroad for mtech after graduating from snu, i'd like to do the same but after getting a year or two job experience.

the college is good and affordable fees for all

the placement of college is good because mid of 7th semester company visit in a campus and many comapnies are come in college like maruti suzuki, TATA, HERO motors,schlumberger ,crompton,tricolite ,cummins ,etc 40-50 company visit in campus and the heighest package is 12lpa and lowest is 3.6 lpa and the student have 60% in average of all 6 semester and 90% student have placed after the degree my plan is a good rank in GATE and masters from IIT colleges

IITK From Sparsh's Perspective

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. The cut-off for IITK varies-from branch to branch. For example the CSE of IITk open from Jee advanced general rank of 115 to 250....Read More

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
