Course is completely good.Every subject of geography is taught in various semesters..like we studied human geography and physical geography in first semester and population geography and geomorphology in second .This helps in making the knowledge of subject extensive.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 19605 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Geography is a vary rare course to pursue and is available in very few colleges.so fees is quite higher than other subjects of the same course.Though,our college provides financial assistance for the economically weaker sections of society.

Campus Life

Our college fest is vibrations. it is held in the month of February and March.Thr library is really extensive. All kind of books are available and easily accessible. Projectors are available in classrooms for better understanding and labs are all there. We have a huge sports complex right in front of our college. thrre are various clubs like vayam for acting, footloose for dance and many more overall it's a great college.

Admission

I gave CUET examination for this course.There was no specific eligibility.People from any stream can get enrolled in the subjects.top 4 subjects marks achieved in cuet are used to get enrolled in subject.

Faculty is not highly experienced.New teachers often teach and due to their lacknof experience students face difficulty in studies.Most teachersbare unilingual and some students of any other language medium face a lot of difficulty.

Dyal Singh College is splendid!

Placement Experience:

Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.

Placement Experience:

Media people as Hindi Hons students obviously have chane there or researches. Some even pursue freelance things as college provides the perfect platform to gain confidence and showcase the skills. Otherwise research or political expert roles are the only roles offered to Hindi Hons students. Since I want a complete command I will be doing masters in Hindi Hons.

DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Gargi : A home to a stranger

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.
