Review about DAIICT

Overall DAIICT is best college amongst the good colleges of gujarat. Overall atmosphere is very good and placement is also plus point.

I studied in School of the achiever, Gandhinagar in an 11-12th standard. DAIICT has a big name in Gujarat. My friend's friend was graduated from DAIICT and got the package of 20 lakh so I heard that there is the highest placement offered among the other colleges like NIRMA, PDPU etc. So I decided to join DAIICT.

The course curriculum is pretty good compared to other colleges. In 1st sem, DAIICT offered courses related to ICT unlike other colleges offered chemistry, civil, mechanical courses. There are no particular courses for languages like JAVA, Python, HTML, PHP. We have to learn our own. There are courses based on Electronics and Communication in each sem. There are courses based on humanities and society also. After 4th sem, the college offered some Elective courses which are selected by interested students.

Yes. Our college provides internship every year after 6th sem for 2 months. Basically, there is two type of internship. A 1st Rural internship which is offered after 2nd sem and 2nd, Industrial internship after 6th sem. After 4th sem, 8-9 companies came in college and held an internship test and personal interview. 45 students out of 300 are selected in those companies and an average stipend is 40000?. Other students have to complete their internship on their own.

Placements are main plus point of this college. Last year , there were 83 companies came in my college for job. Around 280 students were placed. Average packege was around 9.70 lakh and highest packege was 40 lakh. Around 115 students got their offer above 10 lakh.

There are many events celebrated in my college. There are many committees like the annual fest committee, cultural committee, sports committee. The cultural committee organized events like Garba, Janmashtami,uttarayan, Dussehra, etc. Annual fest committee organized SYNAPSE which is held around 24-27 February. Sports committee organized events based on sports.

In 2016 batch, the tuition fee is 67000?, the registration fee is 2500? and hostel fee is 15000? per semester. The tuition fee is increased for the 2017 and 2018 batch. For 2018 batch, the tuition fee is above 1 lakh per semester which is quite expensive. Electricity bill is around 2000? which is paid by students explicitly.

Yes. Our college offered Relience Scholarship every year to top students. There is also some scholarships like mukhyamantri yuva swavlamban yojna.

Campus life was very good at DAIICT. There are 200 girls student out of 1200 student. There is also ground for cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, etc. There is also one Open air theatre where many competition and events like Manier(fashion show), Raaga and rhymes, Dance competition is held. Facilities of Lab and Library is very good.

Hostel facilities are very good compared to other colleges. There are 9 wings and 3 floors per each wing. There are 18-20 rooms per floor and only 2 students in each room which is the very good thing. There are 5 bathrooms and 5 toilets on each floor. There is also a Hostel management committee.

Senior students are very helpful in our academic and extra curricular work. Senior students gave us past year lecture notes and previous years paper which are very helpful.

There are 3 exams each semester. In the autumn semester, college starts around 27 July and a 1st inseam exam is around 31 August. A 2nd item exam is held around 10 October and Endsem exam is held around 28 November. In winter semester, college starts around 2 January and 1st inseam js around 31 January. 2nd item is after the holi break and Endsem exam js around last week of April.

I got 95.33% in 12th standard and my ACPC rank is 277. So first I applied for DAIICT in ACPC first round but the first round cut off for general category was around 83 but mine was 277 so I didn't get in the first round. Than after Admission through All India rank form are opened and I applied. In ACPC second round, cut off was around 247 so I didn't get it. After that, I got selected for the counseling through AIR rank. My AIR rank is 9008. 22 July 2016 I got my admission through AIR. After some time I got Admission through ACPC third round also.

Faculty of my college has a very good command on their subject s. All of them are graduated from IIT or other foreign universities. Most of them are involving in some research projects and published many research papers every year. They have some teaching assistants who help us in lab work.
