Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Electronics is the best branch for today's world, since it is most close to the semiconductor markets which is the most booming industry currently in India. But the syllabus which we gone through was not updated to this , the industry requires different skills and this college syllabus is still 20 years back in time. The college timing is quite great and attendance is compulsory. As it's students driven college as the majority wants the same will be the decission of college.

Internships Opportunities

4

The nearest company named Electrosoft systems is a good option for electronics students to get hands on experience on electronics fundaments and embedded systems basics. Similarly they provide plc internships. The BSNL provides telecom internship in the same city. Central railway DRM Office bhusawal provides the internship of communication and networking betweent the railways and its stations. I recommend to make the projects as best as possible by own , and if required with the help to solve the issue or to get a mentorship then electrosoft systems is a better option over their near to the college.

Placement Experience

2

From 7th sem students get eligible to apply for placement. Thes a variety of companies like TCS , Tech Mahindra , Forecia , Forevia etc but the packages offered is very less than Pune people and the placement rate is also very very less. I think 30% is the placement rate. So the majority people manages for offcampus and for further studies same like me.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it's a government college it has less fees but it not that much lesser than a private college. It costs nearly ,75 to 85 thousand as a fees every year. As it's not a metropolitan city the living cost is very less. Even for hostels we just require 8000 approx for whole year. If we apply for scholarship then it makes the living cost to zero.

Campus Life

4

The festival like carvaan takes place every alternate year and the sports days compulsorily occurred every year. Since it's a student driven activities. If the students initiate to held this functions then only they may occur. They are the state level competition and festivals. The library contains sufficient books for students for curriculum studies but for extra curricular knowledge like I need cars magzine which is not available there. They also have online libraries but I don't think so for today's generation it's requirement is not that effective. Their's lot groups and clubs like team Asterix for SAE BAJA and Third Axis for Drones.

Admission

The eligibility of the course depends on your cet score. But it's possible to get the college in less marks sacrificing branch in first year and then switch the branch as per required in second year. I am obc students so I got the scholarship of 50% confession in fees. This made me pay nearly 45000 a a fees every year The clg changed its exam schedule to 3 exams per semister. As of now it has just 2 exams till this year. Admission is easy and to pay fees it's easy and the nearest SBI Bank is very close to college so makes easy for many people.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio seems to be perfect still if we need another faculty then we can complain the principle for this. The faculties are updated to the current teaching methods like smart boards, screens etc so they taught in better and simplest effective way but the syllabus seems to be out dated. The interaction is quit good with the faculties since they are supportive to the students.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
