- DU has excellent faculty. The professors are highly learned and qualified with good number of laurels achieved at both national and international levels.
- DU gives opportunities in extra curricular activities. Keeping aside the academic factors, each college of DU has several clubs and organisations like NCC, NSS, music society, entrepreneurial cell and many more. Students can gain a lot through them
- Most courses in DU gives a research oriented learning. Students interested in getting into research and academia gets a prior exposure to this field
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is poor. Adequate classrooms are not available in all colleges. Clean toilets or hygiene is not properly emphasised
- Examination pattern is somewhat marks oriented. A more practical oriented assessment method should be introduced
- Exaggerating political scenarios for council elections which further wastes the students’ time and energy
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum are designed in such a way that they would provide a strong knowledge base regarding the field of study. However it is to be noted that practical application of those knowledge is yet to be implemented. Exams are not focused on measuring quality. With infrastructural changes and availability of labs for practical courses, learning can be enhanced
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for most courses in DU are minimal. Annual fee usually ranges from 5k - 20k depending on the courses and college. However there are availabilities of scholarships for economically disadvantaged ones. Laptops are provided
Campus Life
The campus life is purely happening, something which a student deserves for a lifetime. There are number of fests taking place in a year organised by the number of clubs and societies. The fests provides with huge opportunities for learning and networking with people
Admission
The eligibility of the course involves senior secondary with English as compulsory subject. The student gets an upper hand if their applied subject was also taken as a subject at senior secondary level. The information for admissions are released through official notification by the university's site. Reservations are given at different grounds based on caste, economic status, wards child or Extra curricular activities. Admissions now are based on CUET exam which is moderately difficult.
Faculty
Faculty members are highly qualified. Most of them are alumnus of prestigious institutions. They have broader vision for the students and makes an effort to provide every exposure through their experiences
