MSc Agriculture course from LPU

As the MSc Ag (Agronomy) and (Genetics and Plant Breeding) courses of this university has ICAR affiliation the pattern followed is under the guideline of ICAR.From second semester itself the students can choose elective subjects.

Students are eligible for placement after 3rd semester. But the companies are not upto the mark. The salary and job roles are not upto the mark. Many students choose to study further for PhD due to this reason.

The full course fee is 120000 rupees per semester but the university provides 20%, 30% and 40% scolarship based on LPUNEST score hence the lowest one can pay per semester by scoring 40% scholarship is 72000. There is lack of employment in the campus.

The university always have some kind of events going on. There are lots of international students in the university and you can get a good exposure. There are DJ nights,concerts, One India, One world and many such events.

There are different options such as how many roomates you want, if you want an ac room or cooler room, whether you want to live in a dorm or standard room or an apartment. You have to pay extra for the mess service and the mess food is average. Everything can be booked on LPUs website. There is lots of restrictions for girls but it is safe,there is always security.

For admission in MSc Agri one has to have a degree in BSc Agri. The forms are available in the LPU,s official website. The test is taken in different phases and the exam level is moderate to hard. During covid the admission test was taken online under supersision.

The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. All the faculty members are highly qualified and dedicated. Classes are always monitered by camera hence they are always punctual with time. A pattern is followed for teaching, 3 units for the first 3 months and then other 3 units for the next 3 months.

For the admission only online test was taken. There was no further GD or interview involved. Maybe in other courses interview is taken but for my course it wasnt required. Based on the entrance test marks admission was given.
