the campus is very green and beautiful. labs have air conditioners
cleanliness in the campus is good. beautiful infra
there is parking available for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers. there is a football ground too

Dislikes

classes get very hot due to lack of proper ventilation and air conditioning making it very difficult for students to study
the water cooler system is not good and water provided is of very bad taste
some faculty are only concerned about attendance and lack knowledge

the curriculum is definitely outdated and not in alliance with the industry requirements and standards. students are forced to mug up theory and just write them in exams to gain marks. even in programming labs, their focus is not on real programming skills

the placement scenario of the college is not good. hardly any companies visit. the positions offered by companies visiting are not upto mark and dont justify student's efforts, which is reflected by the salaries offered by them in their packages. the college is blacklisted by major companies like amazon due to its worst attendance policies this year less than half of the batch is placed. average placement is 3-4LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure for 1st year is 141000 for subsequent years it decreases to 121000 per year. there is no tuition fee increase policy obviously. college provides medical insurance. there is no scholarship by college, however once can claim scholarships from university and government if they belong to the ews section.

Campus Life

their is no high expectation campus life here. college is too much strict about attendance and discipline. college classes start at 8:30 am and if you're late you are monetarily fined. there is strict 75% attendance policy which debars students who fail to have good attendance. there are no tech or big cultural fests, however small scale holi-diwali events take place no big celebs are invited. recently college has started to host TedX

Admission

there are two modes of admission: direct admission(thru board marks) and jee score students with 85+ percentile can get cse and specialisation branches students with 95%+ in boards can get cse branch students with 90%+ in boards can get cse and specialisation branches the min requirement for rest branches is 65%+ in boards also the college takes no donation for admissions

Faculty

on paper the faculty hired is mtech and phd professionals. almost all teachers have 10+ years of experience in their subjects but recently college hired some new teachers who are not that experienced and lack knowledge. some teachers are just concerned about attendance

Placement Experience:

The placements of GCET are considered average to above average for a private college. The average usually looms around 5LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was 39 LPA by Autodesk. Around 70-80 percent students are placed every year.

Real Story of SCRIET

Placement Experience:

From the 8th semester onwards students became eligible for campus placements.They are only few companies come on our college and very few offers.The highesr paid package by an company to our college student is 40 lac per annum but the average package is 4.5 lac per annum.Only 10 percent of students get on campus placements.I will pursue M.Tech from any other university.

I chose this college as in previous times it was doing quite good in placements and but now most of the students are unplaced. Other colleges I've applied to are JSS noida, Galgotias etc are these colleges got a better placement ratio that my college. But campus of other campus are smaller compared to AKGEC. so bascially i didn't choose this college . i did mistake in my uptac counselling and get this college but when i studied here and seen all the aktu colleges i prefer this is good because it ranked 3 in up colleges .the college is ranked 3 in whole up and its naac A++ so yes its a great college so to get admission in akgec there are two ways by 10+2 percentage marks or by uptac counselling you have to fill your choices in uptac counselling so fill it very carefully without any mistake so the overall to get any cs/it branch your jee percentile should be above 88 and below that you can get any other core branches....Read More
