Friendy environment is being provided by the college
The fees structure is also good stidemts who require a reduction in fees is provided
They provide as with all necessary freedom and exposure

Dislikes

Compus area is way too little, there is not place to walk around
The disposal of food waste is not allowed

Course Curriculum Overview

The current curriculum is quite hard to get me personally am not a fan of this course. It does provide me with a wide range of opportunities It would be better if it was a bit more arranged and the unwanted subjects to be excluded It will be also good if the exams will be conducted on time

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

Only 6th semester students are allowed to participate in the placement programme A no of companies do come with offers About 40% students usually get placement My plan after the graduation is to go for a pg course

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fees are increasing constantly. The payment which we give is about 1000 to1500 more than what a Seniors payed The total amount we spend will be around 2 lacs and I think that is quite expensive for a BA degree There are different types of scholarships available

Campus Life

We do have a lot of programs. They will not provide a lot of unwanted programs but needed ones like onam, Kerala piravi, Christmas, annual day etc The library mainly consists of guides and books related to our studies Sports are quiet down here Clubs are also not as active in other colleges

Admission

The eligibility for this course is 12th graduate You can find the application form and all on the online website of Mg University There are not much of reservation benefits The frequency and timing of exams are really hard to track they do not take place when it is supposed to.

Faculty

There is a sufficient amount of teachers but there could be more in certain departments like bba and BCA. Teachers are usually friendly they do have their drawbacks but overall they are good. My class is quite close to our department

The curriculum is suitable for the modern age of teaching,the way of education is well balanced with projects, assignments, presentations and also notes .we have reading assignments where the faculty members ask us to read an entire book and give our review on it.the exams are quiet moderate and in my opinion teachers should use more ai tools as a learning aid which will be more effective for the students

Great life from college

Placement Experience:

From the last semester pass out we a re eligible for the campus recruitment for job or placement. So many companies visit us for the interview or some checking like , hero honda , maruti suzuki etc. the main reason for it was a low amount of budget is that get from this placement maybe 15 thousand let month ect. Only the company can take the students for it so the percentage of the students who getting placement will change in every year. My plan was to get an admission in the central government University for doing master of degree in History. And try the best exam called upsc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many aspects of the curriculum that infulenced my decision to choose BA English Literature in St. Berchmans College. Their syllabus is far more challenging and interesting than what other colleges and universities offer in Kerala. The examinations and overall assessment of projects and grades are top-tier and is comparatively difficult to obtain. The course steadily provides good quality information and knowledge on English Litearture and readies the student to be more than qualified for further studies in English Literature or any related courses. The areas where they can improve in the course curriculum is through availing more optional courses such as various other language courses/philosophy related courses to be selected. Their teaching environment can also be improved by improving basic infrastructure in the classrooms such as airflow etc. They conduct their exams freequently and on time. The examinations are challenging but necessary for overall improvement in students

For the information I only applied to this college only as it seemed to be reputed and were nearer to my home. So this were the major reason for me to choose this college specifically and many of my friends were the students of this college and they also recommended me this college. I never got any rejections from other colleges as i didn't applied to any other colleges or institutions.
