Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is pretty much matched with the industry requirements and this helps you in cracking the campus interviews. Exams are almost every other week and this keeps you updated and tracks your progress.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Placement Experience

From 3rd semester only they'll be able to sit for Campus placements. Big companies like Bajaj, Hero, Maruti Suzuki, TVS , Siemens, SLB and many more visited the campus with an average CTC of 12 LPA. All the students in our branch got placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is comparatively higher than the other IITs . This was condemned by the students but the administration didn't hear. Complete cost of my education was around 280000 for tution fee and around 160000 for hostel fee. I was placed in Maruti Suzuki India Limited as an Assistant Manager in Gurgaon plant.

Campus Life

Technical fest is Tryst and Cultural fest is Rendezvous.These are 4 day fest each and most enjoyable ones with pronites and big celebrities visiting the campus. Sports facilities are very good here. People compete for the inter IIT sports from the college

Hostel Facilities

No hostel facilities for 1st year students. Then we were offered AC hostel accomodation with good Wi-Fi and all amenities including sports like Foosball, TT, Badminton and others. There is no registration process as such for the hostels, depending upon the availability they provide you the details. Local PG is the worst in terms of hygiene and costing. Mess food is decent.

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

Admission

Through GATE you'll be admitted and sometimes you may have to face an exam or else an interview as well to get that seat. I belonged to OBC - NCL category. The admission process is good and should be online as most of the students cannot visit the campus from all parts of the country

Faculty

4.5

The faculty appointed here are top most and they are very good in both teaching and research as well. They are pretty much approachable considering your interest in the course. they are not going to force you for any thing, but if you wish to do any advance research they help you.

For M.Tech students our college allow 12 Month intern and companies will start visiting for this from the month of October itself and some companies also offer full time offer. These include companies like Striker, Siemens EDA, NXP Semiconductors, Intel etc. These companies generally offer stypend of around 40-60K and Symens EDA offered full time offer. At the end of the 2nd year almost 90% of the batch is placed and average is around 14 and median around 13.

placements are offered on the campus. the last mass recruiter was google and facebook. hcl and microsoft. they hired lot of students and the highest package offered was 30lakh per annum and it was amazing. i was quite amazed. i was offered 15lakh package after bachelors but i wanted to go fot masters and hetr i am.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in power electronics that's why I opted for this course. In different iits they float the different program like in iit kanpur there is power engineering & in iit delhi there are mtech program in power electronics, control, power system etc. Overall on combining all the sub domain of electrical approximately 80-90 gets student got admission in iit delhi in 2022-23. After getting admission, within two month we have to give minor exam & the pattern of exam & time schedule highly attracted me.

Best years of My life!

Placement Experience:

placements are very good and each year the numbers keeps on getting better. In year 2022, 50 students got offer above 1cr. and over a 1000 students got placed in 15 days. The average package goes upto 20 lakhs. Computer science and Electrical departments have the best figure in terms of placements. Mostly companies come for frofiles like Software Developer , Quantitative researcher/ trader, Data scientist/analyst and hardware engineer(VLSI).

My first iit experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

i chose this course as handeling a project in civil engineering seems very intruiging to me. we have 22 students in our class. faculty in iit delhi are highly qualified and the teaching methods adopted are very interactive and interesting. we have to mid semester exam and one final semester exams, the shcedule for which is provided in the beginning of the semester itself.

Remarks:

I.I.T. Delhi is really a student friendly they always take advice from student as well as experts and professors. I.I.T. Delhi community always tries to help each others. I haven't faced any bad aspects throughout my 1 year experience. Our admission starts in the peak of covid, I have submitted my fee payment in the last date 31st July 2020, Registration ends on Sept 17, 2020. Reason that I am here is I.I.T. Delhi is known for world class research in the field of optics and photonics and I am interested in this area of research also there is no other institution in India that can be better than this in this particular area of research.I am happy to share that I.I.T. delhi starts new Department·Optics and Photonics Centre from this year (2021) which creates more scope for students. IIT Delhi is close to my hometown and is ranked no. 2. It offers best faculty in Chemical engineering. IIT Bombay was rejected because of inability of getting a good branch there.
