Course Curriculum Overview

2

Thermodynamics, machine design, kinetics of material and fluid mechanics provides a strong foundation of mechanical engineering principles. The curriculum seems pretty nice. But it includes some topics that have no practical use in our jobs. The teaching method should be improved by using modern facilities. And sometimes teacher comes and finishes the lecture by reading pdf only. They should use blackboard to explain some concepts. The exams here come back every 45 days. We have 2 mid sem and one end sem exam. It becomes very hectic sometimes. The difficulty level is moderate. You can easily cover one subject preparation in 4-5 days.

Internships Opportunities

4

Infosys, Yamaha, TCS, Wipro, LnT , Maruti Suzuki, BHEL, Siemens etc offered internship in NIT kurukshetra. These companies offer roles like software engineer, machine design, cyber analyst etc. These companies offered internships with stipend. And there are many more internship which are off campus and many students did unpaid internships in social working NGOs.

Placement Experience

2.5

Our college provides average placement. Students are eligible for placement from seventh semester ( the starting of fourth year). 1086 students registered for placement, out of which 851 were eligible and out of which 405 got placed. The highest on campus placement package is 61 lakhs grabed by a computer engineering student. And the average package is 8 lakhs. 37.3% students get placed this year. My plan is to excel in the field of Machine Designing.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is moderate here as compared to other colleges. But it has many more miscellaneous charges. Miscellaneous charges are as equal to tution fees. The complete cost of my education including tution, service fees, and mess- hostel fee is about INR 6 lakhs after OBC reservation benefit. There are many scholarships that are provided by our college. For example: RICK-71 , RICK-69 etc. These scholarships are provided by alumnis of our college. They provide full tution fee waiver. I haven't taken any job role or stipends as it's my first year.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college encourages balanced student life by engagement in events , clubs and societies. Our cultural fests are Confluence held in October, Utsav held in September last year. Our technical fest is techspradha held in February. You can easily acces books and journals any time. The library staff is very co operative. Here in NIT kurukshetra, every classroom has a smart board and projector. Teachers use these facilities to make it easy to understand. Our institute also has a sports fest named CITUS in which student of other NITs come and compete with each other. We have a Gymkhana in sports complex area. I know many clubs' presidents and they are doing great in both study and extra curricular. They are getting good at multitasking day by day.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facility are above average here. In my hostel room, I am provided with a fan , a table, a bed and an almirah. All rooms have attached balcony. But the mess food quality depends on the hostel. Not all hostel have same food quality. My first year hostel was H-6 (Fanibhushan) . It has very bad food quality. Menu remain changing on the decision of mess committee. Registration process for hostel was very easy. Just fill a form and payment the semester fee and your registration will be completed.

Admission

There admission process took aur 7-8 hours. For admission, students have to get good rank in JEE Mains exam. For my course, the closing rank is AIR 40K after reservation benefit. And I scored about 97 percentile in JEE Mains. JEE mains takes place 2 times a year. 1st session is in January and second is on April. JEE mains is a moderate level exam . It's not as much difficult as JEE advanced. In admission process, the staff should be active. During my admission, all work was done in about 1-2 hours but the final task took about 5-6 hours because the old man was not able to take that much load at a time.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty to student ratio is good here in NIT kurukshetra. We have never faced cancellation of lectures due to shortage of facilities. But the faculty here is boring. They don't use exciting stuff that much. They opt old fashioned teaching style. We can interact with the teachers only during working hours offline. But online, we can interact with them any time. They are always ready to help us.

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

Don't join the college as they doesn't care about your career Faculty is bad and also doesn't have minimum experience and qualifications Teachers will change every semester or even teachers can leave the job in mid semester. If want a good career then don't go for it
