Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The courses provided are good as it's the same in nit. although a few chapters need to be replaced with the new regulations. the curriculum prepares us for the real-world applications by providing us with work in labs , they give us many practical assignments to make so that we could lear from it .

Placement Experience

2

The placements are below moderate. Only the best students get placed on campus. But the rest of the students get placed off campus by taking exams and all. from 6th semester the students become eligible for placements. Companies like NRL, OIL, IOCL, FLIPKART, AMAZON, VENDANTA and many more. My plan is to opt for government positions by taking govt exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not very sure about the fee structure, but every year we have to register by giving a fee of 14 to 15 thousand . and for exam registration we have to give per semester 3 to 4 thousand, it depends on the annual fest also. sometimes the money for annual fest is included with the exam registration fee. In our college academic internships are provided but they are not paid internships. Scholarships are provided by govt of Assam for the students in need.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is good. all the clubs work properly. all the competitions take place on time. Sport at our college is quite well. even though we have national players in many games. The classrooms are well equipped with digital boards, wifi and all.

Admission

To get into our college we had to give an entrance exam CEE assam . In that exam if we are like above rank 1000 then it is most likely to get selected . so to get admission we have to clear that exam with good marks . the exm is of 480 marks .

Faculty

3

The teachers are well qualified. most of the teachers have done their master's and PhD from reputed institutes like IIT and NIT. And also they have published a lot of research papers. They are well-educated. The faculty-to-student ratio is good in labs but not in classrooms. In labs there is a 10:1 ratio but in class 60:1. so sometimes it gets difficult to get in touch with the teachers. But they try to get in touch with us through different systems like mentor. For 10 students there is one mentor. so when we need help then we can contact the mentor directly and get help.

From 5th sem students are allowed to participate in oncampus summar internship and from. 7th semester starting they are allowed for 6 month internship and Full time roles . There is a Training and placement Cell in our college there are some heads of this cell they are senior professors and it have final year students in senior coordinator position and 3 rd year study as probationary. Students bring the companies which fulfills the criteria of TNP cell and each company have their own eligibility criteria and selection procedure. Mostly companies allows 6 cgpa without any active backlog students . But some high paying companies requires 7 or more cgpa . In 3rd year Cisco , microsoft, public sapiens, Tech Mahindra, Accenture ,Oracle and many more companies visited in our campus and hired good amounts of students for summer internship and mostly offers full time role as ppo to students. In 4th year a lots of company like Novartis, amazon, flipkart, aditya birla, Cisco , Deloitte, oracle, ukg, Motorola, siemens , IBM and many more startups visited college and hired .Some paid 15+ CTC and some 6 to 10 CTC . Almost 40% of students are placed till December this year from each branch . Personally I'm planning for taking chances to get an online internship and then try to go for higher studies abroad in automation and robotics.
