Review of BCET - Truth & Lies

The course curriculum is basically determined by the Biju Patnaik University Of Technology (BPUT), as it is run and affiliated with BPUT. The teaching process of the courses is at its best. Teachers take their time and discuss every topic and topic-related study material. They draw diagrams and all the other stuff to make the students understand. The only issue is that many classes lack Smart Boards which can help in the learning process a lot better.

The college put forward a working environment for internship purposes. They provide transportation help (vehicle or money) to students who want to work as interns outside college. It collaborates with other BPUT affiliated colleges and sends students to do internship courses. It also helps students in guiding the intership path, who are in remote internship work.

The placement cell in the college is quite effective. It encourages students to take part in various intership courses. It brings more than 14-15 companies a year for the placement drive, which hires students as per their interview process by early salaries of 2000rs. Sitting in a placement drive is not compulsary. Students who want to join and experience can also sit and give interviews.

The fee structure of various branches in Btech is slightly different. It is not more than 2 3 lacs per semester like in other colleges but has a fee structure starting from 25000rs. The bus or transportation fees of students are varied from various pickup points, starting from 2000rs. The college also provides stipends on various scholarships to SC/ST/OBCS/ other classes to help them get quality education. The college placement cell brings 15-16 companies on placement drives which hire students on early packages of 20000rs.

The overall experience is quite unique as compared to other colleges. Here, students mainly are focused on building a competitive nature and completing of syllabus and its related courses. There are no club activities. The college organizes Sports day and Cultural Activity Days, usually every year. SO students participate and show case their talents and grow.

The admission process is quite similar to other engineering colleges. Here, they generally look forward to your OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) & JEE marks for quiet reservation and lower tution fees according to ran. The students also get admission without any entrances by giving the exact fees as per the fee structure.

The faculties available are highly graduated, having degrees like phd in their respective subjects. The teaching-learning process is quite good. faculties always are ready to help students, by encouraging them in any way and clearing their doubts if any. Few teachers are pass-outs from the same college but are quite helpful and creative-minded.
