Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose ece course as it is developing and chip manufacturing and semiconductor industry is slowly growing. As a ece students,I don't get why we are focusing more on coding rather than fabrication process learning or semiconductor studies. To understand the course better we have to focus more on maths and semiconductor physics which play the key role. This course has vast topics which don't fully get cleared during the 4yrs. It's better to opt for a additional course to enhance your experience

Internships Opportunities

3

It's a very rare thing to get internship opportunities from this college. The college only knows about attendance. They neither encourage for internships or provide any internship opportunities which makes everything difficult in future.

Placement Experience

1

Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd year itself This year ece department had a drastic placement and none of the companies had came for the recruitment. This college promises a lot during admissions but at last breaks the expectations of many

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 1,25,000 for electronics students but for cse students it's a little extra like it is paid in three installments that is electronics students and cse core students pay around 85000 in each installment and cse students (specialization course)pay around 95000 in each.I haven't opted for hostel but to my knowledge for hostel facilities students pay extra 1 lakh something including mess fees. Students who secure above 9 cgpa per year ,get a scholarship and their fees gets deducted or their mess fees or others fees gets free.International students get extra facilities with extra payment.

Campus Life

1

In one word I can define the college life that is "Hell". Students either don't study at all or don't get involved in any sports or activity. Kiit has a far better environment for students ,atleast all the students get encouraged to get into clubs or events, fest rather than only studies which makes them way more interactive and smarter. In ITER clubs raise their own funds without any support from the college. This college is totally a waste of money

Admission

Firstly I had given numerous exams like cuet, jee, iat etc. I even got confirmed admission from various colleges under cuet but I thought of studying in hometown which I think is a wrong move. Here I had two options kiit or iter(soa) but the two colleges had merits and demerits. ITER college has lots of demerits

Faculty

3

We won't blame every faculty member of the college but yes some of the faculty members are never ready to listen to the problems of students like if girls tell about their period cramps or any injury, they are never ready to listen. Those students who fail in exam are charged a lot of money that is for each subject around 2k-4k. Some teachers are liberal in marking but you have to maintain atmost decency during classes which creates a good impact on faculty members.

Night Life

1

There is no such thing as nightlife in college especially for girls. I don't understand why so much restrictions when they are itself inside the campus. Intime inside hostel is 7:30 This college even doesn't have any area for sitting, wherever you go it has buildings

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.
