Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

as i was preparing for the competitive exam, so didn't have much time to do a regular learning course as it requires a lot of time if you are doing a course on regular terms that is why i chose distance learning so that I can also manage my other studies also. genuinely saying in the aspect of the preparation of the real world applications, it is very limited if you are doing any course from ignou as it offers distance learning programs, so you have to do study and other things by your own. IGNOU should offer some platform in which there is content related to your respective course and proper guidance and mentorship. The timing of exams depends on the kind of course you have chosen, it can be at the end of year or half yearly according to your semesters. Talking about difficulty level if you have done the previous year question papers the chances of your scoring good increases.

Fees and Financial Aid

you will not see any sudden hike in the tution fee or course fee.there are very minor change in the fee structure in year or two years which you will not even notice. as i have done my masters in economics i have given about 7300 for my first year, the fee is bit more but as i have not ordered any study material from ignou so i had to pay less amount.however, the examination fee is also taking when you fill the examination form which is around 200rs per subject. the reserved candidates can get the scholarships or finanicial aid from the institution. i have not taken any campus employment till now but IGNOU offers many opportunties for job in their campus.

Campus Life

0.5

Almost all courses of the IGNOU comes under distance learning so there is not any kind of annual and technical festivals held by the university. The books are available on their application or during the admission you can also order the study material which they will send through courier. no, there is no sports and extracurricular activities offered by the campus.

Admission

The eligibility criteria are the same as if you are admitted to any other college. The application form is available on their website. you can simply fill out the form, submit the fee, and register yourself for the ignou program easily. The application form, application fees, and everything is available on their website when you choose your desired course. I have not availed of any reservation benefits so I did not have much information regarding that. the timing of the exams depends upon the kind of course you chose, the level of the exam paper is moderate, and if you have gone through the previous year's question papers it will help you a lot in scoring well in your exam. the admission process is quite simple, however, there is a bit need for improvement in student support services.

Faculty

3.5

The interaction with teachers in ignou courses is negligible as it majorly offers the distance learning courses in which the students and teachers interaction is almost zero.As i have done masters in economics the interaction with teachers was almost zero.i only interacted with teachers during the submission my assignments at my study centre.however there are some courses in which there are practical where you have to go at your study centres and do practicals there you have the interaction with teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very less. Jamia have outdated syllabus for Psychology. There is only a specialization comes in the third semester. But the compulsory two montha field work internshipnte is effective. It is a beginning for the preparation for us for the real world applications. But in Jamia we have many time for preparing for other competitive examinations for higher studies. Exams and teaching methods are good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doing master in political science was the obvious choice for me because I have done my graduation in political science and if you are talking about the academics pursuit in this field you can how to do PHD after Clearing your net exam but there will be no other Job opportunity you will get in this course. The only scope you have that you can prepare for upsc or other government exams. Otherwise, if you are from engineering background that is, you have done your graduation from engineering then definitely you should opt further in this field only.

Remarks:

According to me, coming to JNU has been an life-altering experience for me. It has taught to embrace people from different backgrounds equally and also lended me the confidence to speak out my mind, even when it is not a popular opinion, whenever I want to. Also, the freedom of personal space that one can enjoy in this campus, without falling prey to any judgement, is also very inspiring and motivating.

Remarks:

SAU is good in faculty and curriculum but its not good in facilities. Sau don't have any good campus. It feels like that one is coming in an institute to attend classes. Despite having great fees i.e. almost 30k per semester they provide us with zero facilities. Its a place for hostllers. Students coming from other states can find this place heaven. But for day scholars like me its like a punishment. I don't feel like going to college as you are excluded. Either they should have hostels for everyone or they should have other facilities.
