Review of NEIGRIHMS medical College

I chose MBBS because I wanted to be the first doctor in my family. I feel happy whenever I get to interact with patients. Like every other medical College neigrihms also has attached hospital which enables application of practical knowledge via the patients. The exams are a little bit tough . The passing criteria is 50%. There are 3 exams in each year which occurs quaterly

Like every other medical College after completing of MBBS course (4.5 years) one year internship is compulsory in NEIGRIHMS. The stipend during internship is Rs.30k /month. This one year internship programme is for making the students ready for the PG life and also practical application of what they have learnt till now

The college fee is Rs.16,000/year including the hostel fees(RS.500/month). There is no additional tution fees. The complete cost of education would be around Rs.65,000 for 4.5 years course of MBBS. There is scholarship facilities for SC,ST,OBC & those students whose family's annual income is less than 6lakhs under NSP

Our college conducts EUPHORIA (the annual college fest) usually at the end of September. Most of the books required by a medical student (MBBS,PG,SR) are available in the Central library of Neigrihms. There are many social groups for gaming, cultural activities, sports, literature etc. and any student can join more than one whenever they want. Neigrihms has an indoor stadium for playing sports like football , cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball etc.

Our hostel fees is Rs.500/month . We usually get single room by 2nd year and in 1st year we stay in double rooms. There is 24 hrs hot/cold water and electricity in our hostel. Use of electric induction is not allowed. The hostel infrastructure is awesome like that of newly built AIIMS institutions. The mess fess is Rs.120/day but the quality of food is not good

For admission in any medical College including NEIGRIHMS you have to clear NEET entrance exam and have a minimum of 75% in your board exams. There is no age criteria for joining MBBS. The application from for neet is in NTA website and Neigrihms admission from is from the official website of Neigrihms. Usually the admission is an offline process it would be better if it was online. The admission fees is Rs.50k.

The faculty to students ratio is 1:16 for each department. They are very interactive and skilled . As it is a central college they are selected by NMC only for teaching in Neigrihms from other central college like AIIMS, JIPMER etc. We can approach our teachers wherever we want during the college hours
