Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS , MD , DM and Bsc nursing is available All the courses are classified under NMC UGMEB . For post graduate: PGMEB No dental ( BDS/MDS ) seats. Exams are of moderate difficulty level and clinical skill building are of good value and importance. Class timing : 8am -4pm from 12-1 is lunch timing .

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 1570 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship 1 yr compulsary in college . Thereby u can join as academic JR post internship . Salary structure is good . Good conditions and management. Proper timing for reading and other options are available with good quality management

Placement Experience

4 yrs of MBBS LIFE 1 yr internship No such engineering like placement. Scopes of academic junior resident. After passing NEET PG , college quotas are available for NEET PG in department of Medicine, pathology , OBG and others . DM courses are available in Cardiology and Neurology

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure: deferred now 16,000 yearly . Earlier it was 1570 per year. Scholarship availability is as per National scholarship portal ( NSP ) . Available at the beginning of first year . Under varied schemes like DoNER and others. Electives are availed, internships for 1 yr compulsary and later out affective is other continuing medical education and seminars

Campus Life

Group discussions for classes. Self directed learning classes. Euphoria ( college fest ) Sport activities are encouraged. Role play and various group activities are taken off. Debate competitions, quiz competitions are conducted.

Eligibility: 12+ Biology, or any courses considered with biology as additive , NEET UG qualification . Application forms : www.neigrihms.gov.in Details of reservations: NorthEast open , and all india quota , and state seats for some states of north east as nagaland and meghalaya Frequency as per the curriculum of NMC decided for UGMEB ( medical education board)

Yes , Interview was taken by the board members constituting Director , Dean , subdean (academics) , registers and HODs of all department. No process or criteria , its totally based on merit list and seat availability.

I chose MBBS because I wanted to be the first doctor in my family. I feel happy whenever I get to interact with patients. Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculums include theory and clinics. Theory is done in the morning and clinics in the noon and practical in the afternoon. This curriculum is quite good to prepare us to become a good doctor, both in studies and in clinical practice. As the world is evolving in terms of technology, I believe there must be a more innovative way of teaching making use of all the technologies available for teaching such as PowerPoint, 3d models (real and virtual), etc. There must also be proper ventilation, cooling system, etc to help the students cope up with the weather of the college. There are 4 exams in a year which to me are too much. Besides the NEET PG exam will be MCQs so what is the point of doing objective questions and answers.

NEIGRIHMS-a heaven MBBS college in NORTH EAST

Course Curriculum Overview:

Neigrihms is a central college, its in line just after AIIMS and JIPMER alike colleges, its one the biggest and most advanced health research institute with great facilities for students and faculties to interact.Another thing that made me chose this college was the student teacher ratio. Each batch has 50 number of students.This ensures better learning and teachers could give proper attention to each and every student . Regular semester exams r undertaken which help us to go through our syllabus properly. And teachers here r very student friendly and approachable. And in this college u get more clinical exposure than any other college in north east!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose medicine because I love helping others. There is enough faculty for 50 students, the number of seats is likely to increase soon in the coming years. Each student is known by face and name to the teachers and so interaction is very social and good. Every semester has its exam and it was easy to pass if you are attentive in class.

Admission:

Admissions for MBBS course is via NEET UG examination. Students also must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in their higher secondary education. In general the cut off is set at 96.67% in NEET. After counseling i got admission in this college.

Remarks:

Fee structure,basic infrastructure, college administration all are best as compared to any medical college. Teaching and labs are good. There is no negative remark about this college, it's excellent in all the criteria for an ideal college.

Eligibility of the course was quite fair. It was based on NEET-UG result and quota. Application form, fees and dates were all available on the college website which could be easily looked upon. As mentioned there was a reservation benefit in terms of quota seats (for example, Northeast quota, all india quota, mizoram quota, nagaland quota, etc.) There are 4 exams total (2 internal exam, 1 pre-university, 1 professional/university exam). The exams are quite fair, and challenging. But unlike other colleges, the gap between two papers is too less. There is no gap between two papers of the same subject, and there is only one day gap between two subjects. The gaps should have been increased for better performance in the exam. To improve the admission process, there must be guides who will help the new students to do the admission process with ease and to avoid silly mistakes that occurs when students do alone by themselves....Read More
