NEIGRIHMS-a heaven MBBS college in NORTH EAST

Neigrihms is a central college, its in line just after AIIMS and JIPMER alike colleges, its one the biggest and most advanced health research institute with great facilities for students and faculties to interact.Another thing that made me chose this college was the student teacher ratio. Each batch has 50 number of students.This ensures better learning and teachers could give proper attention to each and every student . Regular semester exams r undertaken which help us to go through our syllabus properly. And teachers here r very student friendly and approachable. And in this college u get more clinical exposure than any other college in north east!!

After passing final year of MBBS. Students have to do one year of internship which spent across 19 departments. Monthly students paid 30,000 and students get the opportunity to learn from the teachers directly and get the clinical exposure which is helpful for them in the future endeavour gets to know how to deal with the patient and they are also subjected to do operation operations with assistance of senior professors. Internship is the best time in Neigrihms to practice whatever you have learn in a four years of MBBS. Internship here gives you a great opportunity to start as a budding doctor. Practice at the teachers are very friendly and they are ever ready to teach and guide the students during the internship.

During admission time u have to pay Rs 47200,and hostel fees Rs 5000, thereafter monthly mess fees Rs 3720 and annual fees of Rs 16,200. There are various stipends for Nagaland , Mizoram , Arunachal people.There are no specific stipends for people who come through north east open quota. There are many curriculum which can be undertaken during the course. The college has yearly fest for 7 days where u can be a part of the program and take part !!

Campus has got a lot of opportunities. In our college, every year college fest is organised which last for seven days we curriculum activities like painting, sketching, debating, then culture programs, then DJ NIGHTS and many other thing. you can take part of the college got a huge campus. Now it is two college buildings. One is newly opened another. There is regional Cancer Centre and an ICU facilities are very good. student teacher relations is very good and the lecture halls are very big equipped with ACs. there are in total four lectures in one building and another building total five lecture halls are there. New regional Cancer Centre has modulator operation theatres. Robotic surgery can be done. The college has gotten a large central library which is equipped with all kinds of medical books. Students can issue these books. The library remains open from 9 AM to 9 PM and there is a study room which is open 24×7, and students can read there.

The hostels are really good. during admission you have to pay Rs 5000 as the hostel fees. Thereafter every month you have to pay Rs 120 per day as the mess fees. There are two hostels for boys and two hostels. For girls. These hostels are all kinds of facilities. lifts are available. the wardens are really good. The mess food is good. Weekly we get four days chicken two days fish in one day egg in the night. Then in the morning every day there is boiled eggs with bread or jam or butter or sometimes Puri sabji and chole bhature. The Hostel has 24×7 Wi-Fi facilities and drinking water facilities, the bathroom are equipped with hot water geyser and cleanliness maintained every day . in the first year, he will get sharing rooms with another person from second year onwards, you will be assigned an individual room.

I had to appear for my NEET-UG exam which is conducted under NTA, there I have scored 611 marks, I applied to neigrihms in North East open quota and our list was out based on merit and no reservation is there in this college.My rank was 16th , and only 18 seats are there for North East open quota. According I was assigned a seat which I took it thereafter .
