Course Curriculum Overview
The college has a total of 50 seats for each academic year. Duration of the course is 4 years and 6 months and the college follows the academic calendar as suggested by medical council of India. The course duration is followed by an internship program for a period of one year.
Placement Experience
Students are given a lot of exposure during the internship stage as they have to work in various departments such as general medicine, Community medicine, Pediatrics, ophthalmology etc. They have to work on a rotational basis on all the departments. This gives students an idea of all the departments and also helps them choose the specialization that interests them.
College Events
There are many educational event that keeps happening in the college. Seminars, guest lectures and conferences happen all around the year. Apart from academic events, there is also a cultural event called EUPHORIA every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since this is a government college, the fee is low. The total fees for the course is very less compared to the other medical colleges. The overall course fee covers most of the expenses and there is an addition of exam fee of 1000 and a coaching fee of 1500. Hostel facility also charges 2500 per month for the students. Cost wise this is the best college.
Campus Life
The college has facilities for extra curricular activities too. There is an indoor stadium where the students can play most of the indoor games and also outdoor games such as cricket and football are encouraged among the students.
Admission
Admissions for MBBS course is via NEET UG examination. Students also must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in their higher secondary education. In general the cut off is set at 96.67% in NEET. After counseling i got admission in this college.
Faculty
The faculty team comprises of mostly doctors who are experts in their respective fields. Even though the course is very stressful, the professors try to make it easy by making the class environment very friendly. Since some of them practice in the hospital, they are able to explain the students about the real time scenario that a a doctor faces.
