Likes

Ihm goa has a huge and lush green campus it provide state of the art infrastructure and equipments
Collage has very nice and helpfull staff they cooperate with the students very nicely
Collage is located in the prime area of goa which is alto porvorim

Dislikes

The locality where the collage is a bit expensive
Lunch provided in the collage is not much good
Collage hostels need improvement as ther are not good

Course Curriculum Overview

The collage syllabus consists of mainly 4 subject that is Front office , Food and beverage service, housekeeping, food production and other extra subjects like accounts,English,hr etc . Exams are conducted 4 times a year from which 2 are for internals and other two for final marks

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 113000 per year

Placement Experience

Collage mostly provides retail companies in campus interviews but people on their own can apply for hotels cruise or airlines accordingly this industry has many Jobs to offer and will not leave you unemployed at any cost

Fees and Financial Aid

Bsc.Hospitality and Hotel administration Rs.360000 Diploma Rs.110000 The above are the appropriate fees in the collage the collage also provide all types of scholarships provided by the government it also has a provision for EWS Students

Campus Life

The campus life at ihm goa very nice as many events are held at the campus and everyone is encouraged to show their talent events in the collages are held every month according to the academic calender

Admission

To take admission in this collage students need to give nchm jee exam in which the maximum cutoff for general student is 3400 AIR nchm is conducted once a year by which one can take admission in any collage to pursue hotel management as a career

Faculty

The faculty members of this collage are very nice the are sweet kind and helpfull all the teachers are highly qualified in their subjects every subject has their own dedicated teacher all the teachers are experienced and acanthus help you with any of problems

Overall Experience with IHMCT GOA

Placement Experience:

Placement start from 5th semister with hotels like, Taj, Oberoi, Marriots etc. visiting campus. The highest package was offered that time back in 2015 was Rs. 400,000/- and the average package was around Rs. 250,000/-. After graduation started working in a restaurant chain in Mumbai. Was selected in a campus placement in Saudi Arabia, but due to some political interferences at 2015, had to drop the idea. After some years, I transitioned my career to Data Science in 2024.

Me and my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

if I am being honest, I chose this course because of my brother he is in this industry and doing very well, but I did not know that to pursue your career in this field. You really need passion for this industry which I like, and currently, I am suffering because I do not want to do this anymore, and I am thinking about leaving it, but for students who are really interested in this field, the curriculum is very nice. It focuses on practical as well as theoretical knowledge. The training provided by teachers is very nice.

5th semester onwards, students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like the Oberois, Taj, ITC, Leela, Radisson, or other retail companies like McDonald's, Starbucks, etc make offers. The highest package may go upto 15 LPA and the lowest 5 LPA. 80% PLACEMENTS.

IHM GOA Review

Placement Experience:

Anyone is eligible for campus placement by end of the 5th see there are a lot of placement options. but the salary that is provided at the associate level for any employer is way too less, it's close to 12-15k per month. But when selected for MT Programs, it is somewhere 23-28k per month and a hike of position and salary after two years or completion of the MT Program duration.

I chose the college for its reputation, practical training and placement opportunities over others I appled to. The admission process was starightforward, based on JEE exams, with competitve cutoff. IHM - A Student's Perspective

You have to be a 12th standard pass with 60%. Generally, you have to apply by taking the NCHMCT JEE exam, and if you crack it, you will be offered 3 IHM institutions of India to select and then they proceed.
