Remarks

I had given the NCHMCT JEE exam and got a rank of 1659 and cleared out the cut-off for admission in the college. The maximum rank IHM Goa takes is close to 5k-6k in the General category and for reservation, it gets extended to 10-15k as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course of BSc. is pretty vast and a lot of new things are taught in the classes. But the industrial experience is way too different than what the course has to offer. The curriculum is very wide and very elaborate. The faculties are good, however, there's a lot of practicality which lacks in the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

3

Lots of learnings, very long working hours, 1-4k per month as stipend. I trained under sheraton grand bangalore and 1.2k pm as stipend. Accomodation wasn't provided by the company and is difficult to thrive in a new city.

Placement Experience

3

Anyone is eligible for campus placement by end of the 5th see there are a lot of placement options. but the salary that is provided at the associate level for any employer is way too less, it's close to 12-15k per month. But when selected for MT Programs, it is somewhere 23-28k per month and a hike of position and salary after two years or completion of the MT Program duration.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship that any sutdent can avail of after contacting the Admin team. Finanacial assistance is not provided from the college side however one can take an education loan and get their education completed. The jobs provide way too less salary in India. The salary is somewhere 12-15k in starting if anyone joins at an associate level in India. But the salary of Management Trainees are close to 23-28k and across borders it's more than what the salary is in India. The stipend provided during the course of internship is somewhere 1-5k not more than that if anyone is an intern in India. There is an annual fee hike every year by 5-10%.

Campus Life

3

The infrastructure is good, cleanliness is excellent. There are few parties and seminars conducted which are helpful and fun in a way to enjoy and learn at the same time in the campus. But however, there are no fests arranged as such. Some theme lunches every couple of months and a grand gala dinner is arranged at the end of the year. The space is less in the campus and thus it creates a hinderance when it comes to fests and clubs. There are fans installed in every class and other rooms. Sports on the other hand is taken care on a very low priority. No clubs, social groups or websites are run by any student in my knowledge.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel accommodation is a 3-sharing room with 3 tables, chairs, notice boards, fans, and cupboards respectively. There is a small balcony as well with grills installed in the balcony. Meals are provided in hostel in morning and evening on college days. Lunch is done in college on working days in the cafeteria. But on the weekends and holidays, meals are breakfast, lunch and dinner in Hostel mess. Also, there is snacks with tea provided in evening. Mess is very clean and food is also up to the mark and is nutritious as well. Taste wise it is 6/10. Registration process for hsotel takes place at the time of joining and is affordable. Badminton and a volleyball court is available. Table tennis, and a small area for football and cricket is available as well.

Placement Experience:

Placement start from 5th semister with hotels like, Taj, Oberoi, Marriots etc. visiting campus. The highest package was offered that time back in 2015 was Rs. 400,000/- and the average package was around Rs. 250,000/-. After graduation started working in a restaurant chain in Mumbai. Was selected in a campus placement in Saudi Arabia, but due to some political interferences at 2015, had to drop the idea. After some years, I transitioned my career to Data Science in 2024.

Course Curriculum Overview:

if I am being honest, I chose this course because of my brother he is in this industry and doing very well, but I did not know that to pursue your career in this field. You really need passion for this industry which I like, and currently, I am suffering because I do not want to do this anymore, and I am thinking about leaving it, but for students who are really interested in this field, the curriculum is very nice. It focuses on practical as well as theoretical knowledge. The training provided by teachers is very nice.
