Course Curriculum Overview
Course is quite relevant to the industry standards and numerous learning opportunities are provided for better grasp of concepts through assignments and the exams are quite thorough in nature, students really need to prepare a lot for the final exams
Placement Experience
From 4th Year of the college the student is eligible for a pre-placement offer, main placements happen in the Final year i,e. 5th year. Companies that hire majorly are Tier-1 and Tier-2 law firms, like AZB, Khaitan&Co. Average package goes to about 15-16LPA. My plan is not fixed yet, but I aim to pursue SEBI or RBI law officer exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is some where around 2,50,000 per year without hostel. Scholarships are provided to the top students having batch rank. The complete cost of education would be 30L. There is 10% hike in fees every year.
Campus Life
An annual fest called SYMBHAV is organised by students every year. A lot of intellectual as well as physical sports are offered to participate in. Classrooms are enabled with smart boards and overall campus infrastructure is excellent in terms of the availability of academic resources and seniors are quite approachable. Mostly students run all the clubs and committees here.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are quite good. A triple sharing room is available for boys, we are provided with breakfast, lunch, snacks in evening and dinner. Moreover, the quality of food is very decent in terms of taste and hygiene is maintained too.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is to be- 12th Pass. Exam form and other details can be found at official symlaw website. The procedure to crack the exam is, firstly give SLAT the exam is of 60 marks, cut-off varies every year. If the required cut-off is cleared then the candidate has to give a WAT (Written Assessment Test) and also a PI (Personal Interview) which is conducted by the college itself. If the candidate passes all the process he/she would get an admission offer. Weightage of SLAT- 60%, PI- 50% and WAT- 10% The process is quite smooth, the questions asked are a lot related to current affairs
Faculty
Faculties are quite experienced and have a good grasp of technical know how of the subject that they teach. Encourages debates and discussions in class on topics dealt with during the course. Quite approachable to students queries.
Interview Experience
The college conducted a Personal Interview, wherein they ask a lot about what we have done throughout our school and the achievements we have including our academics and extra curricular. They test our aptitude by asking various questions which are related to current affairs, like at my time of interview I was asked on hijab case and CAA.
