Dislikes
- The college is always under construction and most of the time it creates problem as the classes are postponed or cancelled.
- The fests are not organised properly. Even the college students don't come in the fest because of the management
- The college does not give the campus like feel when compared to North and South campus colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
The introduction of new education policy also introduced new courses in the college. Value added courses, Skill enhancement courses, etc has helped the students gain practical knowledge and have a different point of view of the subjects they are studying. The only issue is with availability of the teacher. The teacher teaching political science will teach you a course from VAC. There should be proper staff to teach that subject, who have specialised the field.
Internships Opportunities
The placement and intership cell organise events every year. AVSAR an event which allows students to get placed in different companies every year. Wayspire, dabur, apex and other companies offer students to become intern at their companies.
Placement Experience
You can become eligible from 6th semester and there is no boundation for you. Honda, Nestle, mi, samsung, techno, etc companies have visited the college and gave an offer from 5 LPA to 10 LPA. A very less percentage of students get the placements but still it is better than getting no placement. I would prepare for government exams after getting a degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is also not too high. It ranges from 10k to 14k per semester. It varies according to the work done in college and totally depends on the circumstances. The college also have a placement cell which provides 10 lakh to 14 lakh package per annum. This allows the students to participate more. Various events are organised by the placement cell which provides great opportunities for the students
Campus Life
There are various fest and sports events which are organised every year. Be it cultural fest, sports fest and other fests. You will see a huge crowd in the college. Thunderstruck is the cultural fest which is organised every year. And this college also provides a platform for sports activities. The inter College tournaments are held regularly. The library is also one of the largest in DU.
Admission
Before the introduction of CUET, the college took admission on the basis of your marks of 12th board. And the cutoff was pretty high but now you admission totally depends on the marks you are going to get in the CUET exam. The higher you score, better the course you will get. For me, the introduction of CUET has made it easier to get admission in DU. As there are many combinations you could select and you will have many choices. With reservation, you will be preferred first as some seats are reserved.
Faculty
The faculty member are really supportive and friendly. They would love to listen to your queries and what makes it great is that they are easy to approach and they would listen to your doubts. The number of staff is also more than sufficient so there is always availability of teachers for subjects. The faculty members are well qualified and well educated which can be seen while having an interaction with them. They would love to assist you even when u are organising an event. This makes you feel great in college.
