Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the BCom course us very generic and mostly theoretical. It frames the basics and gives an idea about the major commerce subjects and is built in such a way that it helps the students in pursuing a professional degree

Placement Experience

Placements of the college are pretty average . The bcom course doesn't offer many employement opportunities anyway and the students are adviced to pursue a professional degree side by side to excel in their career

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is really affordable. It is 13000 per year for bcom and the max it goes is UPTO 20000. The placement cell offers many employement opportunities and students can claim financial aid of UPTO 5000

Campus Life

There are many clubs in the college which offer exposure on great aspects. Although the fests aren't good because the college doesn't give out funds for that. The social life is great if you're open to interacting with more people

Admission

The admission process involved giving the CUET exam. The cut off for general exam was pretty high, although you can easily get into DU if you have any quotas. It was a long and tedious process and the cut off went anywhere between 650/800 marks in the cuet exam

Faculty

All the faculties are PHD from the Delhi University itself, but they maintain discipline and the education quality is very good. Although they are always ready to help the students.

Yes our college provides placements to the student and the students who are in their final semester(6 semester) are eligible for the placement. The companies which comes to college are Kpmg, dillote, Ey, bain and company etc. The average package is around 9 lakh and the highest package is 36.5 lakh.

Students of 3rd semester become eligible for campus placements. Companies like pwc, EY, deloitte has visited our campus and offered packages according to the competency of student. 35-40% people do get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to move abroad and pursue ACCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is really relevant and comprehensive. For eg in bcom we study business law, company law, Human Resources management, marketing, financial and corporate accounting, finance, busines maths, stats, income tax, cost accounting, economics as ge so all these are really great well structureda and do have real life practical applications therefore i think my course is really very well aligned and comprehensive in terms of the business world.

Vivekananda College is a dream of every girl!

Hindi Hons are not offered by all DU colleges, as though my parents warned me for a girls college and top level girls colleges like the Gargi, LSR or KNC. Firstly admission in the college are done under cuet examination we have to give that first then we have to apply for different university website for our admissions .and cuet is the only exam all the student have to give for the admissions and cuet examination experience is good as it is our first cbt based exam held . I have applied for all the Delhi university top colleges but I got Vivekananda college in my csas round 2 and got BCom hons as i wanted to be in the Delhi university so i have accepted my seat in this college I got not selected in any other college as they are having night cutoff and my marks in the cuet are little less for that under obc category...Read More
