Likes
- First of all lets start with faculty, Most teachers are good except a few who are new to teaching and new in college.
- The management doesn't care much about the lower branches like Civil, which kinda is a good thing because teachers in these are not at all strict
- The infrastructure is fantastic, buildings are new, its clean and very peaceful
Dislikes
- There are not sufficient amount of fans in classrooms. The infrastructure from outside is fantastic but from inside its bad
- Football ground is very bad and not playable. Basketball is okay and tennis is okay. Also no facilities for cricket
Course Curriculum Overview
I always liked cars so that was an easy choice for me. Also, the automobile department of dsce is one of the best in all of india cos not many colleges offer this course. companies like mercedes and bmw regularly recruit students from our college. The curriculum prepares you really well for the real world as a lot of focus is given on the practical knowledge of the students to make sure they are ready for the challenges in real world The college should improve the 1st year curriculum and add more practical teachings, as all the practical things mainly start from 2nd year There are internals almost every month and total 3 of them. And after almost 4 months there is a semester end exam
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester students are eligible for placements In automobile companies like mercedes, bmw, tata, suzuki, honda, hyundai, etc recruit regularly. I dont know about the highest and average package almost 50% get placed I plan on building a business after my degree so no placements for me
Fees and Financial Aid
I dont know much about the tuition fee increase policy and I haven't heard of it. The complete cost is about 10 lakhs if you take admission from comedk. Its less if you take admission from Kcet and more if taken from management. There is a compulsory 1 time university fees of 30k and 5k for examination fees. There are scholarships for native karnataka students No campus employment
Campus Life
1 cultural fest furore and a technical fest is held. Furore is held in June and goes for 3 days. This year Dhvani bhanushali is gonna come. I dont know much about our tech fest There are numerous books in libraries. There are 2 libraries. You can find almost any book that you want. You have to make a library card for 2k and then you can borrow books. Most classrooms are equipped with projectors to make the teaching easy. Sports are not that great as I mentioned earlier. Cultural things like dancing is very good tho. The fashion team is also very good, they win numerous prizes.
Admission
Eligibility is Comedk Rank Comedk website, or if you wanna take admission directly with management then just call the office directly. You can find the number in the website. No reservation for outsiders Internals are help every month and are very easy also the semester end exams are very easy too They should have told earlier about the university fees cos that was a shock for me as I was not prepared and they only told me about it when I came to complete my admission
Faculty
On average there are about 80 students in a class and 1 faculty so the ratio is about 80:1. The ratio is not too bad if you want to study then you can easily study by sitting on the front benches and paying attention. But if you sit back and talk then you won't understand much. Some faculties are really good and strict so they force you to study. Almost all the faculties are accredited from reputed colleges and are well qualified. They teach in a manner that you can easily understand. Some teachers tho are not that great and don't care much about students they are just there for paychecks. You will find a lot of teachers like this in lower branches. You can easily and almost anytime interact with teachers unless they are very senior. Teachers are approachable and are totally cool about it.
