Course Curriculum Overview

Internet of things is Interneting but the teacher her makes it a boring af subject I cant blame them its okay its my fault choosing it It has got many intresting topics and i love it low key Teaching is not bad but DSA teacher in my college needs to learn basic english and sense

My college has a very good environment and infrastructure It has got all greenary and stuff and yet placements are an heachache to students as i have heard off I love how teachers are friendly and irritating at the some time,funny But i love my college

Campus Life

At 1st i had no friends but later on i got few friends They conduct sports which is of no use They wont leave us to sit in stadium They conduct dj for 5min and at the last there will be a fight between senior and a junior

Admission

My dad was broke at the time i got very less rank My rank was 1lakh 25k I didnt get into any college but iot was under cs and the fees in this college was less than any college and i had no choice left I wanted another college but money was the problem or else woudnt even breathe this college's air

They actually Manipulated me that placements are for sure and I trusted that Now seniors say that i have to do extra course My section has no class teacher i regret joining this college but i love my friends, its okay I'll adjust

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

The college placements are pretty good and provide an average of 6lpa for the students. There are lot of IT companies visit to oyr college but there are no opportunities for the courses other than IT related branches. Students become eligible after their 6th semester in the academics.

I have applied to Don Bosco and RRCE but I choos this college becouse they had less fees structure combared to other colleges. No rejection from other colleges. I have applied to BMS College of Engineering but due to lack seats and admission criteria I couldn't proceed.
