REVIEW OF ST. XAVIER'S COLLEGE RANCHI

The course curriculum is based on UGC curriculum and College come under Ranchi University. There are total 4 semester in Masters divided into 4 semester and in each semester college take mid semester exam consist of test, assignment and marks for attendance also. Semester exams schedule in 5 months. History teaches us about our past and it helps to know the culture and civilizations.

There are different fee for different departments and curriculum. General category have to pay more than student belongs to obc,Sc,ST. Fee of bachelor of Arts is near 25000/- INR for one semester. Science and commerce demands near 30000/- INR. Vocational course have relatively higher fee. For masters of arts Annual fee is around 35000/- INR. Scholarship is also available for the students belong to Jharkhand bearing social category OBC, SC,ST which is issued by the govt of Jharkhand.

Campus life is okay, attendance is compulsory so you spend more time in class only. There is good environment in campus and discipline of sxc is really appreciable. Xavier's utsav is the fest of the college which held in month of February and there are many departmental fests happen in Xavier's like Historica and others. Many social clubs are in college like Theatre club team shakti and Abhivyakti. Rotaract club,NSS, Economics club, Geography club, Women Cell, NCC, Sports club, Photography club etc. Sports events like inter department basketball, football, volleyball and Athletics organised by sports department. College have two library one is central Library and other is PG library and every department have their own Library and many books snd research works available there.

Certain criteria for different courses, must passed the entrance exams. Result of exam out in three list. Percentage Cutoff for BA is around 85%+ in 12th standard. Application form will be available on site of Xavier's Ranchi www.sxcrnc.com and forms will be out in starting june. Application charge is near ?1000. Reservation for SC and Christian students are also there. Question paper of entrance exam is more near the level of 12th exam with current affairs and basic reasoning.

All the faculties are well qualified and knowledgeable. They all are qualified professors and many of faculties completed phd also and some of them also published many research papers and books as well. Facilities also attend European conferences in their respective departments. The ratio of facilities and student is near 1:60 and facilities of many departments like of History is really supportive and always helpful. There is no restriction for interactions with teachers in class and also outside the class.
