- The best thing about jnu is it's location. With the forest area in south delhi it's a most beautiful campus of new delhi.

- As of now there is no any dedicated infrastructure for school of engineering. According to reports the new buikding is going to built by 2027 beside the AICTE.
- The hostels infrastructure are very old. But for engineering students new hostels will be built along with schools Infrastructure.
Course Curriculum Overview
The whole curriculum is very good. The best thing for electronics and communication students that they can do their masters course along with btech like dual deegree course with mtech in vlsi from iit delhi. They have to qualify a screening test conducted by iit delhi and they can pursue vlsi from iit delhi without qualifying in gate.
Internships Opportunities
The best companies which come for internship was tata counsltancy services, S & P global, Amdocs and many more. The S & P global has average stipend of 35k per month, while the tata consultancy services and Amdocs have 20k and 15k avergae stipend per month. There are more companies which comes for internship with avg stipend 6-8k per month. The S & P global and Amdocs comes for software developer while the tcs need the research analyst post. Overall here is very good opportunities for internship.
Placement Experience
The placement for batch the batch graduating in 2024 was gone average due to market recession. 40-45 students have opted for on campus placement in which 18 got placed. The highest recruitment was from Amdocs which recruited 12 students. While many students opted for higher studies. 5 students scord very good at GATE. All of them got AIR greater than 200, with the best AIR 107 by divyansh pandey of electronics and communication.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee is 62500 per sem. But like other iits, nits or gftis an economic weaker student can avail scholarship. For sc/st studemt the tution fee is zero. Other students with family income less than 1 lac per annum has zero tution fee while the student with family income beetween 1-5 lac per annum has to pay 22k per sem.
Campus Life
The best part of Jawaharlal Nehru university is campus life. There are more than 60 schools in the campus of different courses. The university orgainisines every year diffrent types of activities on school levels. Other than that sports activities are organised by sports committee on hostel and school Level every semester.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is easily available for engineering students with a nominal fee of 3000 per year. The mess bill per month varies to 3000-3500 per month. Each hostel has its commitee which consists of President, six hostel committee member and six mess committee member. The mess menu is decided by committe members with advice of students. The registration process is verg simple and affordable. While the infrastructure of hostel is old and rooms are somewhere are small in size but overall it's very good at that nominal prize.
Admission
The admission process is just like any other national Institute of india. The admission process is done by NTA based on jee mains score. one have to give jee mains and then take part in counselling orgainsed by NTA to take admission in JNU. The cutoff for general student is 97.5 precentile, while the OBCs cutoff is around 95 precentile and for sc/STs studnets the cutoff is around 85-87 precentile.
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is very good for engineering students. It's approx 1:15. All faculties are very experienced. The faculties are eaisly approchable and always ready for any time of mentorship. Also new recruitment is going on so, We can expect a more better faculty to student ratio. For electronics amd communication engineering the no. Of faculty is less as compared to computer science.
